"It's way too cold to do it any time soon, though. We'll have to wait until new leaf." Starlingbloom purred softly.

Lavenderwhisker purred. "new leaf is nice….leafbare is nice too…well when you aren't cold that is…" she chuckled

"Mhmm." Starlingbloom trotted back to camp with Lavenderwhisker and put her prey on the fresh kill pile. "Want to go cuddle now?"

Lavenderwhisker chuckled, looking over a the medicine cat den, looking through the tall reeds to see her sister and her sister's apprentice asleep in their soft moss beddings. "of course we can cuddle….maybe I can take a nap….?"

"That would be nice." Starlingbloom gently licked the top of Lavenderwhisker's head. "We can get you your poppy seeds."

Koipaw fell in next to them, his fish held awkwardly between his jaws. "Do you think I could get some more sleeping herbs again tonight, Lavenderwhisker? I haven't been able to sleep very well."

"You might have to recommend yourself or something, I dunno…" Hickorykit sighed and huddled a bit closer. "I'm more than ready to get out of the nursery… it's so crowded in there."

~Hailflight nodded. "I'll ask about it later." She flicked her tail and looked at Hickorykit. "You should go back to the nursery now. The queens and the other kits will get worried." The she-cat stood and nudged the kit with a smile. "Off you go."

~ Fawnstar smiled as he flicked his tail. "Good morning, Smokewing." he mewed, "I would like to say i'm ready, but im not really sure. I still have to think of the cat's I am going to take and we will have to bring some prey with us."

~ Smokewing looked around the camp. "What about Hailflight and Hickorykit?" She suggested, flicking her ear. "And Maplepatch as well." She added as the calico tom padded out of the warriors den. "What do you think?" The she-cat mewed, looking back at Fawnstar.

Hickorykit whined softly and curled up tighter, hiding his face in his paws. "B-But I don't wanna go back… I wanna stay here with you, Hailflight…" He flattened his ears back against his head.

~ "Hmm, you know what?" Hailflight mewed, "If they get worried, they'll just find you here anyway." She sat down and curled her tail around Hickorykit. "Alright, Kitten. You can stay."

Hickorykit smiled faintly and cuddled close to Hailflight for warmth. "Thanks…" He murmured. Soon, he drifted off to sleep at the molly's side.

Maplefrost (oh geez I'm sorry that there's another Maple) awoke to a kittens mews and didn't think anything of it. Kittens came into the warriors den more often now. Why, well, he wasn't quite sure. It was nothing to do with it being much warmer, he thought, shivering. He made his way carefully and quietly to the entrance, spotted Hickorykit curled up with Hailflight, and smiled warmly at the she-cat. He eventually made it to the clearing but froze when he saw the soft white flakes falling from the sky. Snow. It was snowing. Maplefrost liked snow, but now it just reminded him of Canyon, a rouge he met once. He shook his head. He was a ThunderClan warrior now, his mind shouldn't be on such trivial things. He trotted toward the camp entrance, flicking his tail and ears respectfully as he passed Fawnstar and his deputy.

Koipaw fell in next to them, his fish held awkwardly between his jaws. "Do you think I could get some more sleeping herbs again tonight, Lavenderwhisker? I haven't been able to sleep very well."

~ Lavenderwhisker looked over at Koipaw and sighed, "again? well I can't have you not sleeping well!" flicking her tail she smiled. "is it a headache again? or is it that you just can't sleep?" she mewed giving her wet pelt a shake in an effort to dry it.

THUNDERCLAN

~ Smokewing looked around the camp. "What about Hailflight and Hickorykit?" She suggested, flicking her ear. "And Maplepatch as well." She added as the calico tom padded out of the warriors den. "What do you think?" The she-cat mewed, looking back at Fawnstar.

~ Fawnstar nodded, "yes. we'll take Maplepatch, Hailflight and Hickorykit." he around the clearing, he noticed Maplefrost, another one of his warriors pass by him. He flicked his ear in a silent 'hello' as Maplefrost passed him. "I think Maplefrost can come too." he mewed, looking back at his deputy.

WINDCLAN

~ Springheart awoke to Songkit scolding Featherkit and Birdkit, and another queens kits, to be more quiet while they wrestled. Springheart quietly chuckled, Songkit was more louder that her siblings. "Birdkit! your to loud!" she squeaked, Springheart heard Birdkit say something along the lines of - "you're being 10 times for louder, Songkit!" She heard the kits bicker back a forth an flicked her ear in annoyance. alright. time to– "oh yeah? I bet mom awake! she'll wake up any second!" Springheart purred. well I guess this is my chance to break it up.

~ Songkit puffed out her fur and huffed. "nuh-uh!" "yuh-huh!" Songkit pouted. "I'm more quiet!" she squealed. Birdkit rolled his eyes. "oh yeah? I bet mom awake! she'll wake up any second!" "No she won't!" she looked over at Springheart who was still asleep. "See!" she said turning back to her siblings. "She's still asleep-" "Songkit? you're being so loud. you woke me up!" Songkit jumped to face her mother. "Mom! you scared me!" she mewed. Her mother sat up and bent down and nudged her cheek. "sorry love." her mother mewed. "you scared me awake so I guess we're even, hm?"

"Gingerflake! You're finally up!" Bluebellkit bounded through the snow over to the molly with a bright expression. "Look, look! There's snow everywhere! Isn't it pretty?" She asked, still bouncing around with excitement. She had such a fluffy pelt that she hardly noticed the cold, although her tiny paw pads were freezing. "Does this happen all the time?" She asked.

~ Gingerflake looked down at Bluebellkit and smiled, "Hey kiddo. good morning." she felt a snowflake fall on her nose. she sneezed and looked back down at Bluebellkit, a smile still on her face. "and the snow is very pretty, hm?" Bluebellkit nodded and jumped into the snow and rolled around in the snow and she jumped back up. "And uh, kinda." she noticed Bluebellkit stop and look up at her. "kinda?" she mewed, Gingerflake nodded. "yeah, kinda. It snows at least once every leaf-bare. Sometime it doesn't snow at all, which is very odd, but i've never witnessed it at all, only heard it from the elders when I was stll a young kit. speaking of being a kit! how are you? you having fun playing with the others?"

"Mm…" Bluebellkit flopped down into the snow and toyed with it a bit with her paws. She looked back up at Gingerflake when she was addressed. "Yeah, it's good! I play with Pansykit and Lilykit and Salmonkit a lot! I'm excited to become an apprentice, though! It gets crowded in the nursery sometimes."

~ Gingerflake nodded, "well, if it gets to crowded in there, you're welcome to come sleep next to me in the warriors den. well if you don't bother anycat else." she mewed, "also you wanna have a snowball fight?" the ginger-and-white molly warrior noticed the slight confusion on the small she-kit's face.

"What's a snowball fight? How do I have one? Can I?" Bluebellkit asked excitedly, getting to her paws to hop around again. "Can the other kits play too?" She cooked her head to the side a bit.

Gingerflake purred, "slow your roll kid! alright 1. a snowball fight is where you take some snow," –she grabbed some snow off the ground– "and you roll it into a ball." –she rolled it up into a ball- "then you purposely throw it at some cat. whoever hits the most cats- we'll say more than 4 cats- you win! and 2nd, sure! the others can play too! its more fun to play with others anyways!"

"Okay! I'll go get them!" Bluebellkit meowed happily and bounced off to go fetch the other kits. She soon returned with three ginger kits of varying shades and started explaining the game to them.

~ Fawnstar nodded, "yes. we'll take Maplepatch, Hailflight and Hickorykit." he around the clearing, he noticed Maplefrost, another one of his warriors pass by him. He flicked his ear in a silent 'hello' as Maplefrost passed him. "I think Maplefrost can come too." he mewed, looking back at his deputy.

~ Smokewing nodded, then tilted her head in thought. Who else…. "We could bring some of the elders, the queens, and a few of the other kits. Maybe some of the apprentices as well."

Hickorykit smiled faintly and cuddled close to Hailflight for warmth. "Thanks…" He murmured. Soon, he drifted off to sleep at the molly's side.

~ Hailflight smiled at Hickorykit with a purr, and laid down in the snow, snuggling close to him. I love you, Hickorykit. Larchclaw might not want to be your father, but I'd be more than happy to be the mother of a kit like you. She closed her green eyes, pressing her muzzle into the kit's fur.

(Let's say Maplepatch had left to hunt, and he's coming back now.)
~ Maplepatch padded into the camp with a few mice dangling from his jaws. He dropped them on top of the fresh-kill pile, and began cleaning leaves and twigs from his pelt.

SHADOWCLAN LIVES

~ Clearpaw padded up next to Gingerflake and sat beside her. "Teaching the kits a new game, huh?" She mewed, her silver tabby fur fluffed up against the cold air. "Mind if I join in?"

~ "Shadowpaw!" Shadowpaw simply grumbled, and rolled over in her nest. Her brother, Hollypaw, huffed and shoved her with his paws. "Hey! Holly-" "Come on, it's snowing!" Shadowpaw flicked her tail at her littermate. "I don't care! Let me sleep." "Nu-uh!" Hollypaw mewed, proceeding to push Shadowpaw out of her nest. "I'm not gonna let you sleep in when it's snowing! We are going outside to have fun." Shadowpaw rolled her eyes and stood. "If you're idea of fun is being woken up by someone pushing you out of your nest, then I think I'll pass." She moved to pass Hollypaw, but he stepped on her path. "Come on! Please Shadowpaw?" They stared at each other for a moment, before Shadowpaw sighed. "Fine." "Yes!" Hollypaw bounced on his paws like an excited kit. "Let's go!" He rushed out of the apprentices' den while Shadowpaw followed slowly behind.

~ Hailflight smiled at Hickorykit with a purr, and laid down in the snow, snuggling close to him. I love you, Hickorykit. Larchclaw might not want to be your father, but I'd be more than happy to be the mother of a kit like you. She closed her green eyes, pressing her muzzle into the kit's fur.

~ Hickorykit stretched his tiny paws out in front of himself, yawning and purring softly as he huddled up against Hailflight's side. "Mmmm… mom…" He mumbled almost inaudibly in his sleep, starting to shift around uncomfortably.

~ Clearpaw padded up next to Gingerflake and sat beside her. "Teaching the kits a new game, huh?" She mewed, her silver tabby fur fluffed up against the cold air. "Mind if I join in?"

~ "Yeah! You should play with us, Clearpaw!" Bluebellkit hopped around the apprentice excitedly. "Are you good at snowball fight?" She asked. "I've never played before!"
