(Apparently, it was 25 minutes…)
On Wednesday, Kenzie walked into the costume shop with Willow in tow. She searched through the women's costumes, finding things like witches, angels, and a few cats.
"Why isn't there anything nice here?" she groaned.
Willow, at another rack of costumes, replied, "I don't know, maybe you're no— Ohmygosh."
Kenzie looked up and saw her friend staring down at something in her hands. "What? Did you find something?"
"Go get a dressing room, now. I'll be there in a minute," Willow ordered, not meeting Kenzie's eyes as she pulled whatever it was she had found off the rack and started towards the front desk.
"Okaaay," Kenzie drawled, confused, as she walked over to the dressing rooms and sat down in one.
A couple of minutes later, Willow knocked on the door. Kenzie opened it to see her friend holding a long, sparkling, white dress and an elegant white mask.
"Try these on and show me," Willow commanded Kenzie, shoving them at her and closing the door as soon as Kenzie had them in her hands.
A few minutes later
Kenzie walked out of the dressing room, the dress fit her perfectly and the mask made her blue eyes pop.
"What do you think?" she asked, spinning around slowly so that Willow could see the whole thing.
Her friend clapped, a wide grin splitting her face. "Perfect! Hunter is going to die when he sees you in that!"
Kenzie blushed. "You really think he'll like it?"
"Of course he will!" Willow scoffed. "And if he doesn't, then I'll just have to beat him up."
"Willow," Kenzie warned, making her way back to the dressing room.
"Fiiiine," Willow sighed. "Maybe I'll just punch him in the stomach."
Kenzie shook her head, chuckling. "Okay, if he doesn't like it you can punch him in the stomach."
