“Matteo’s protective. He puts others before himself.”, he assured her.

Leah nodded. "Good to know. But if he hurts her, just know I mean my threats seriously." She said. "Wow maybe that's why she didn't tell me……..but I can't help it. Being overprotective kind of comes with the big sister contract."

“He would never hurt her.”, he promised. “Not after—- yeah.”

Leah nodded. "Okay. Good to know."

"Should we call him and tell him what happened?"

“Yeah—sure, is it’s good with you.”

"Why wouldnt it be? But I can't call him, so you'll have to."

Rafael nodded, picking up his phone and dialing his brother’s number.

“Raf?”
“Hey. Um, your girlfriend— she’s in the hospital.”
“WHAT?!”

"She'll be fine." Leah piped up.

Leah smiled. "Okay. Now we just wait." She said, sinking back into her seat. "And this is why I wanted to get into law school. But of course my parents wouldn't let me." She said, more to herself than to Rafael.

Hunter walked around the estate, keeping a sharp eye on anything that seemed out of place. The decoration was going according to plan, so Hunter left to check on the chefs, which was going well as well. Hunter knew he could trust Kennedy.
"Sir," Henry was by Hunter's side in a second. "Your outfit for the masquerade is ready."

“You’re an adult now, can’t you do it now?”, he asked, glancing at the door.

Kenzie walked into her apartment with her hands full, having dropped Willow off at her house a few minutes earlier. She hung the dress up in her closet, careful not to get it caught on anything, then set the mask on her dresser.

"Okay," she huffed, sitting down on her bed. "That's done… Now what? Maybe I'll just… 'Netflix and chill.'"

"I don't…………….it's complicated. I'm trying to figure everything out. As my uncle used to say, 'I need an adult who can adult better than me.' To help me work things out." Leah answered.
