Zack cursed silently. He vanished and snuck into the crowd, ready to disrupt and recover if it came to it.

The Zavoem and the Kemad students started arguing among themselves. One charged at Zack, furious.

Ruby walked over to Emma, and tugged on her sleeve a little.

“Emma, them finding out Zavoem has these things somehow is just going to jumpstart the war!”

Emma started up in surprise. "Right!" She tossed the same smoky vial from earlier into the crowd. "To cause a distraction and make everyone forget about the device," she pointed out.

“Emma.” Ruby said, letting go of Emma’s sleeve.

Zack fell out his invisibility in surprise, and raised a knife to keep the kid at bay. He was a Kemad kid. Not lowering his blade, Zack backed away silently daring the kid to follow.

"S***. That didn't go as planned…" Aidan stepped forward with the knife, ready to strike if he needed to.

AISLinn hurried Emma and Ruby inside. “If we get caught, don’t wanna abt it going on you out permanent record,” she winked, before heading back out.

“… thanks?” Ruby mumbled, when Aislinn left. She was tempted to get the principal, but she wanted to hear the full story first. Something told her that there was more than what it looked like on the surface.

Emma smiled. "Thanks so much, Aislinn! I owe you!" She hurried to her room as her smile turned into a dark smirk. If only Aislinn knew that the person she rescued was the one responsible for this chaos.

“Emma.”

Aidan followed the girls inside, twirling the knife in his hands. I'm not staying outside longer than I need to.

Zack vanished and followed Aidan, whistling for Vix to follow.

“Emma.”

Emma turned around as her smirk turned back into a smile. "Yeah, Ruby, what is it?"

Where on earth does that demon think she's going?

Zack watched as Emma ran off towards her room, being followed by Ruby. Angry and and ready deal with her permanently, he whistled for Vix to follow Aidan, while he followed in Emma's wake, counting on his invisibility to hide him from sight.
