"Um, put the notebook down."
"Um, put the notebook down."
Ruby raised an eyebrow, “Oh, so this is secretive?”
"Some-what. Especially now that we're talking about secret illegal weapons."
“Then the government should know.” Ruby said, crossing her arms as well, and straightening her posture.
He raised his hands in the air. "Hey, we're not using them. Just talking about them." Aidan suddenly didn't trust her one bit, and he prepared to conjure the sharp knife he knew was in his kitchen.
Ruby tensed up, “Then there should be nothing wrong.”
"Shut up. We're keeping this a secret for untold reasons, and that's all you need to know for now. Unless you join us."
“You guys have an illegal weapon in your possession, why would I join you?” Ruby reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. Then she quickly took a picture of it, the people holding it and all. “Good bye.”
Aidan conjured the knife and ran in front of her, holding it defensively. "Ah. Looks like we have a runner."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Guys, chill," Emma said, hands out carefully. "Ruby, it's okay. You can leave if you want. But please don't get in the way of our investigation! If the Zavoem clan finds out that we stole an illegal weapon from them, we might start a war even quicker than it probably would have,"
“I’ll just tell the police.”
"No, you won't." He twirled the knife in his hand.
“What you going to do? Stab me?”
Emma sighed. "Fine, then. Do what you want," She tossed the device half-heartedly in the air, when a sudden gust of wind blew it towards a clump of Zavoem and Kemad students. "What?! Oh, no!" As the others ran to catch it, she looked back at the area of which the wind had come from, smiling strangely.
Aislin, not noticing Emma’s look, shot out a hand to make it fall.
One Kemad student caught it. "Whoa! Got it!" he yelled. "Wait a sec… why the hell do you have an illegal magic amplifier?!"
“And there’s also someone getting threatened at with a knife.” Ruby muttered, “But you’re not wrong.”
"S***." Aidan mumbled, hoping the kids wouldn't do anything.
“We found it. In someone’s backpack. We were going to give it to the teachers,” she said.
"Where'd you get this from?" the Kemad student demanded angrily.
"I… I found it in a Zavoem girl's bag," Emma stuttered. "She was hiding it for… something,"
Why can't I make objects disappear? Aidan grumbled in his head, hiding the knife behind his back.
Ruby stayed silent, she didn’t get why Emma would be with these kind of people doing shady things. Emma was good student, like herself, so why…? Are they trying to figure out something?
“What are you doing, Emma?” She hissed, glaring at her.
"Look, I like this situation about as much as you do, which is to say, none, but Ileyitome can't afford another war!" Emma whispered fiercely. "My brother…"
Ruby was now silently arguing with herself, to be a snitch to her dear friend, or to know Emma’s and the little group’s intentions.
