“People still act on rumors. It would be best to try and put them out as soon as possible,” Thatcher said slowly. He didn’t know why anyone would want to try and damage the alliance between the clans. Sure, it was unsteady, but it was better than constant war.

SPOILER ALERT PIDGE DO NOT READ THIS
(Peridot is an accomplice to the main villain. When she gets captured, she starts to befriend the Crystal Gems as a ruse to get free. However, she actually starts to understand them, but when she finds a chance to leave, she takes it. But when Peridot converses with Yellow Diamond, she gets furious and calls her a "clod," for calling Earth worthless, so she officially becomes part of the Crystal Gems.)

(Can you delete your response so that @PuffPoff doesn't see it? And that means I will be a main accomplice to the person who's trying to start the war. You guys find out, capture me, I get Stockholm Syndrome, but then try to escape, decides against escaping, and goes to your guys' side.)
