(I will if no one else wants to)
(Yes please.)
Marx marched ahead of the group, his hatchet in hand. He yawned and stretched a bit before looking over his shoulder to make sure that everyone else was still there.
“Everyone holding up?” he asked, but it sounded forced and a little sharp.
"I'm dyyyyyying." Persephone groans, trudging along behind him. "Can we set up camp yet before I collapse?"
Marx rolled his eyes.
“God, you don’t have to be that dramatic. You won’t collapse. We haven’t even been out for that long. We’ll camp once we’ve covered good ground for the day.”
He was a little tense, and clearly somewhat annoyed. Marx was tired and hurting too, but he wasn’t out here whining about it.
Persephone rolls her eyes, then perks up when she notices an Affected a few yards down the abandoned street they were on. Breaking into a sprint, she ducks behind a boulder and pulls back her bow. Letting go, the Affected topples over as her arrow goes straight through his head.
Running up to the Affected, Persephone yanks one of her only arrows out of his skull and puts it back into her quiver.
Sticking her tounge out at the dead Affected, she turns back around to face Marx and the others.
"Hurry up. We don't have all day." She laughs, doing a very bad impression of Marx.
Marx subtly raised up his hand to flick Persephone off.
“Saving my bullets…” he murmured, “Also, what happened to “dyyyying,” huh?”
Marx mocked back. But this time a slight smile formed at the corners of his mouth.
"Okay, maybe I was exaggerating a little." Persephone admits with a small shrug of her shoulders, "But we've been walking for like, a billion miles."
Marx chuckled to himself. Sure, Persephone was complaining a lot, but at least she could still handle herself.
“It kind of feels like it in this weather,” he agreed, giving just a little way.
Persephone smirks, pleased with herself, as she continues to walk down the road, taking refuge in the shade of trees whenever she could.
AJ fixed her bag and caught up with the others in the group "what's our mission for the day? More supplies or a new HQ?" She asked.
“Depends on what we can find,” Marx replied, “Although our longer term goal is to find better shelter, I wouldn’t turn down a good supply opportunity.”
"Do we know where we are exactly? Like what state, city, town?" She asked, walking closer to Marx and watching Persephone
“Well, I’d say a state of misery,” Marx sighed, wiping some sweat off his forehead.
“Joking aside, we’re in (?????), but that’s all I’m completely certain of at the moment.”
(Where does this take place?)
(Idk, where should it?)
(They’re complaining about heat. Maybe the south somewhere?)
(California or Mexico?)
(Florida?)
(Ohh, Texas!)
(Any of those sound fun!)
(Let's do California?)
"Well, when are we going to leave California?" Persephone complains, "How much longer till I can stay at Montana? Ya'know, the land of neither people nor zombies?"
"The only way we're going to relax is if a miracle takes place and let's us find a large building to hide out in." AJ replied. She looked around at the barren street, lined with blood and headless bodies. She checked her ammo and groaned. "We need to stop at an ammunition station, need more bullets."
"I'm just warning you guys, if this heat continues, I'mma start loosing some layers. And I haven't seen an ammunition store that was actually stocked since I met you three at that church in Kansas." Persephone says, shooting down another wandering Affected.
(When should they see the college?)
