Nikolas narrowed his eyes, and leaned on his cane a little. "Really? You're going to call me scum?" he asked, eyes flashing. "You're the one that's acting like it, Sir. Besides, do you really want to interfere with a soulmate bond?" his eyes flicked to his own shoulder, then Eclipse's hand. "And, if you really want this peace treaty, then…this will help with that. Your son and I are soulmates. Which means that we would only bring the countries closer, if not eventually unite them under one banner."
Nightfang growled, before turning and leaving, his angry disposition causing every Tesh and Kevran soldier alike to back off as he left.
Eclipse let out a sigh, "I should've known that would happen.." he mumbled, "Thanks… for standing up to him, again.." he gave the other a sheepish look. Great… now you look weak…. again… he sighed, looking away.

Nikolas shrugged a little. "It's fine. Come on. We should…figure this out." he gestured vaguely to his shoulder and Eclipse's hand. Still leaning on his cane a little, he limped out of the tent, heading towards the edge of camp. He didn't want or need everyone watching as he and Eclipse spoke to each other. Soulmates. He was having a hard time wrapping his head around it.
Eclipse gave a respectful nod to the Kevran king, then moved to hurry after Nik. Catching up to his side he tried to figure out what to say, if anything. He let the other lead the way to the edge of camp, occasionally drawing confused looks from the soldiers. He hummed softly when they finally got to the edge of the camp, "So… uhm… what…." he sighed, recollecting his thoughts, "Are you okay with this?" he gestured to their marks, his eyes searching the other's face.
(Sounds good to me! FYI Nightfang be absolutely not okay with this, on the rivalry, and the sexuality level)
Nik let out a slow breath. "I…depends on what you mean by that. If you mean sexuality wise…yeah. I'm pan, so this isn't a problem." he thought for a moment. "If you mean because you're Tesh and I'm Kevran…I don't know yet." he decided that honesty was probably the best way to go with this. "What about you?" he asked, looking at the taller male with a raised eyebrow. "Are you alright with this?"

"Sexuality wise.. yes.." said Eclipse softly, "I figured out I was bi… well, I don't know how long ago.." he hummed, "As far as the Tesh and Kevran thing….." he took a deep breath, "I'm willing to give it an honest try if you are."
Nik looked over at him, and nodded slowly. "I'm willing. But…we need to sort this out with our parents, too. At some point. Let's give your dad some time to calm down." he raked a hand through his hair, shaking his head a little bit. "So uhm…I don't know what to do now.

Eclipse nodded, "I highly doubt my father will calm down.." he admitted, "If anything, he may try to respark the war…" he sighed heavily, "Or at least he'll try to beat the shit out of me.." He hummed, "But as for what to do now…. maybe we should get to know each other a little more?"

Nik frowned a little. "I see." He replied slowly. He nodded. "Yes. But how shall we do that? And how do you want to handle…" He waved a hand towards the camp. "Everyone? Because if we walk around glowing…" He looked at their marks. The marks would always glow whenever the two were near each other. Nik's was easy enough to hide, but…Eclipse's wasn't quite as easy.
Eclipse hummed softly, "That's a good point…" he said softly, "Uhm…" he sighed, thinking for a moment, "Whelp… just how comfortable are you with magic?" he asked, "Because I might be able to cast an enchantment to hide mine for now…"
"Magic doesn't work well on me." Nik replied, not making eye contact with Eclipse. "You can hide yours with magic, and I'll just put on a long-sleeved shirt and hope that hides it." he rubbed the top of his cane with his fingers. Magic didn't work well on him because of the curse. Because of the monster, because of the darkness that pooled and eddied inside of him.
Eclipse hummed, "Well… we can hope that works… I guess…" he watched the other carefully for a moment, wondering if something was up with him. "You okay?" he asked, not sure what else to do as he summoned a whisp of black and silver aura, using it to hide his soul mark.
Nik nodded. "Mhm. Just thinking." he replied. He let out a breath, and looked at Eclipse. "So. Now what?" he asked, raising his eyebrows a little. "I'll go change my shirt in a minute. Meet me…hm." he thought for a moment, wondering where they could meet.
Eclipse hummed softly at the other's answer, before thinking of a response to his question. "I believe we should try and get to know each other more, without the titles…" he said softly, "I mean…" he sighed, "I honestly don't know anymore…" he said quietly.
Nik nodded. "Yeah." he replied, letting out his breath in a soft sigh. "That…sounds like a good idea." he swallowed. "I'm going to go change. You can come with me and wait outside my tent, if you want. I don't know where to meet up afterwards."
"We could meet by the edge of the trees outside camp.." he said softly in reply, "You can bring your guards if you want too…" he hummed quietly, not sure if he should suggest helping the other, though he figured that might be offensive, and being that close to the prince's tent…. that might not look goo to the Kevran soldiers.
"Alright. And…no. Unless you're planning to attack me?" he raised his eyebrows at Eclipse, and started to walk back into the camp. "I really hope you don't. It won't go well for you, regardless of whether or not any of my guards are there." he wasn't about to say why, though.
"I wouldn't do that.." said Eclipse softly, "Especially not someone who's seen the war firsthand.." he hummed, watching him go quietly. He stayed there for a moment, processing quietly, before finally moving off towards the trees. As soon as he was far enough away from camp he broke into a dead run, needing to reach the woods and let his wolf side loose, even if it was only for a minute.
Nik went to his tent and stripped off his short sleeve shirt, pulling on a long sleeved one. He took a deep breath, combing his hair, then set off to find Eclipse. He walked slowly to give himself time to think, lower lip caught between his teeth as he considered what had happened.
Eclipse didn't slow as he entered into the trees, his feet nearly silent as he finally let himself shift, transforming into the large silver and black furred wolf. He sprinted through the trees, enjoying his temporary freedom for a moment, before slowing to a quick trot, taking in all the scents around him as he headed back to the edge to wait for Nik.
Nik arrived at the edge of the woods after a few minutes, and leaned against a tree while he waited. His black hair drifted into his face a little, and he sighed. I don't know what to do. If we…if this works out, then eventually…eventually we'll sleep together. Irregardless of what happens, we'll share a bed at some point. He'll see…what I am. What I become.
Eclipse slowed near the edge of the trees, spotting Nik a few feet away. He stayed silent for the moment, just watching the other, his forepaw glowed a little as he had only enchanted his human side, but right now he was a little distracted by the other's scent. It was nearly intoxicating for him, not something he was accustomed to, though he knew the soulmate bond was the cause.

Nik smelled…strange, to Eclipse's nose. There was a sharp scent, like crushed pine, mixed with an almost salty tang, and a musk that could only be a natural part of Nik. But under that was a different scent. Darker, with the sharp sting of copper and iron. Like blood.
