@ElderGod-Icefire
Nik closed his eyes for a moment. "I'm sorry I've been sleeping so much." He said softly. "I just… I don't know."
Nik closed his eyes for a moment. "I'm sorry I've been sleeping so much." He said softly. "I just… I don't know."
"Don't worry about it love," he said, "There's no need to be upset."
"Alright. I just…I guess I'm not very good company." Nik let out a little laugh, shaking his head.
Eclipse shook his head, "Nik, it's fine." he said again, "Seriously don't worry about it."
Nik smiled a little. "Alright." He replied softly. He leaned against Eclipse.
Eclipse smiled back at him, hugging him close with one arm.
Nik closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again, leaning against Eclipse.
Eclipse had his eyes on the road, though he was smiling softly.
Nik twisted around to plant a kiss to Eclipse's cheek.
Eclipse smiled, supporting him enough to kisss him properly, before letting him slip back into place on the saddle.
Nik kept leaning against him.
Eclipse kept holding him close, unable to keep from smiling.
Nik was quiet. He shifted so that the side of his head was resting on Eclipse's chest. "I love you." He said after a moment.
"Love you too beautiful" came Eclipse's response, reaching to ruffle the other's hair, before snapping back to attention as a guard approached with news of a place to stop for the night.
The guard said that it was just a few more minutes ride ahead, that they would need to work quickly to get a fire lit before night fell. Nik was quiet, eyes flickering around the forest.
Eclipse nodded, telling him to take a couple other's with him to start setting up, before calling another over to grab a buddy and scout around a little for any dangers.
The guards did as asked, though both Aron and Errol remained close. Aron wasn't going to leave Nikolas, and Errol was a healer, not a guard.
Eclipse wasn't upset by the pair staying close with the last of the guards, knowing they technically weren't even under his command.
The others went on ahead, setting up the camp and making sure there was no one nearby.
(oh btw, for when Seren comes back, I was thinking it happens in about a week?)
(Yeah, lull the into a sense of security, say have it happen right around, either just before or after they reach the tesh border?)
Eclipse checked in with the guards as they rode into camp, before moving to a quieter spot to dismount. "You okay if I get down first?" he asked Nik.
(yes exactly! Sounds good)
Nik nodded, reaching forward to hold onto something so he wouldn't fall. "Yeah." he replied. Aron and Errol took care of their own horses, Aron assisting the healer since Errol couldn't hold the horse and the saddle at the same time, due to the missing hand.
Eclipse nodded, before dismounting smoothly, careful not to upset the saddle or Nik, before reaching up to get Nik down off the horse.
Nik shifted for a moment, and reached down to take Eclipse's hands, carefully swinging off of the horse. He let out a soft grunt as he landed on one leg, keeping his left leg up slightly, off the ground.
Eclipse moved in a little to support him, nodding the other guard that took the liberty of caring for their mount.
The guard led the horse away. Nik leaned against Eclipse a little bit, cautiously setting his left foot onto the ground, wincing a little bit.
