Blaine glanced at Andion with a questioning look before she pulled out a chair and sat down. She clasped her hands on in her lap and looked at Thranion.
Thranion was silent for a few moments, causing Andion to cough and he finally looked up at them, “We need to talk about your mission.”
“Yes, sir?” Blaine asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
Thranion leaned forward, “You’ll have two months to take out the crown prince. How and when is up to you but I want to done,” He point to a small speck on the map in front of him, “You’ll be staying in the capital, the boat to take you there leaves in two days. There’s a royal ball you are to attend three days from when you dock. Accommodation is covered, same with identities,” He pulled out some documents and handed them to Andion, “That has all the other information. Questions?”
“What time do we leave?” Blaine asked, grabbing the packet from his.
“Five in the morning.” Thranion replied, leaning back in his chair.
Blaine’s eyebrows shot up for a moment, but she quickly forced them back down. “All right, sir. Is that all, then?”
"Yes. You can leave." Thranion waved a hand idly, in indication that they were dismissed.
Blaine nodded and stood. “Thank you, sir.”
"Thank-you." Andion bowed his head a little before heading out with Blaine. He closed the door gently behind them.
“Five in the morning… That’s going to be fun,” Blaine muttered.
"You got that right… two days to prepare before we leave," Andion sighed, "So much fun."
“I’m totally not excited for this,” Blaine sighed as they walked. “Not very long to prepare.”
"Don't forget we can prepare on the boat. We can take what we might need and then think of a plan then." Andion shrugged.
“That’s true. I suppose that’s better,” Blaine agreed with a nod.
Andion sighed again and ran a hand through his hair, "That man is crazy…"
“I think we’re all a little crazy here,” Blaine chuckled. “But, yeah. He’s definitely crazy.”
"There's like… our crazy and then.. his crazy," Andion shook his head a little, "The crown prince! It's insane!"
“If we pull this off, they’re going to be begging for our heads on a platter,” Blaine muttered, shaking her head.
Andion frowned a little and thought for a few moments, "What if…" He lowered his voice, "What if we don't kill him? Not even after we've got the information we need about the… markings and such…"
Blaine opened and closed her mouth a few times, unsure of how to respond. “We’d be slaughtered… Unless, of course, you wanted to… leave afterwards…”
Andion swallowed, "We could try to reason with him, the prince. Explain our situation and see if he could… give us protection from the people here…"
“Everyone here is a trained assassin, Andion. They’d figure out a way to get to us,” Blaine pointed out, subtly making sure no one was listening.
"The prince might have his own assassins. We don't know what's over there. Magic, dragons I don't freaking know!" Andion sighed, "He could be an assassin himself who knows."
Blaine nodded slowly. “It’s not that I don’t agree with you that we could do that, it’s just… I’m sure they’d find us, unless…”
