Andion nodded, "Yeah. We need to find a different way out, the entrance is blocked."
Andion nodded, "Yeah. We need to find a different way out, the entrance is blocked."
“What about the back?” Blaine suggested, glancing around.
Andion nodded, “Yeah, that will work. Although we have to be careful so we don’t get caught going the opposite direction.”
"Great. Let's go then," Blaine said with a nod as she started toward the back.
People were moving at a quick pace, the crowd dragging them along. Before long, they made it to the back exit.
“Ready or not, here we come,” Blaine whispered softly when they had reached the doors.
Andino nodded, "Just don't get caught going the wrong way…" He whispered, pushing open the doors as people filed through.
Blaine gave a quick, sharp nod and followed him. She kept watch of her surroundings, making sure she wasn't seen by any of Thranion's goons.
Because everyone was focused in escaping or the fighting, no one noticed them slip away. Well, most people. After a few moments, a group of men stopped them, weapons out and ready for a fight.
Blaine subtly took a deep breath and grinned, almost flirtily, at the men. "Woah, guys, what's the deal?" she chuckled.
One of the men, smirked, "Where are you two goin'?"
"Out. Why? You jealous of my boyfriend?" Blaine asked teasingly. She hoped Andion knew why she was doing this and that most of what she might say wouldn't necessarily be true.
Andion slipped a hand in his pocket and kept quiet.
The man shook his head with a laugh, "No way. Why even are you with him anyway?" He raised an eyebrow, "You get anyone you wanted and you picked him?"
"Yes, I did. Why, would you rather I chose you?" Blaine questioned, raising an eyebrow. She wrapped an arm around Andion and leaned into him.
The man's smirk widened and he winked, "I'm not gonna lie and say no."
"Hm…" Blaine hummed and let her eyes trail his form, forcing herself to pull away from Andion. She glanced back at him and gave an uncaring shrug, her gaze flicking over him as well. Returning her attention to the man, she returned his smirk and leaned forward slightly. "Meet me in town at midnight, by the bridge."
Andino tensed, his jaw clenching but he knew the Blaine really wasn't into him. Just playing him like the fool he was.
The man nodded slowly, "Good. Seeya then." He inclined his head to his friends and they walked off.
Blaine let out a breath and stood there for a moment, closing her eyes.
"I'm sorry about that," she whispered without turning to Andion.
"It's fine. You did what you had too." Andion replied, forcing himself to relax.
Blaine nodded and turned back to face him. "You know I love you, right?"
A muscle in Andion's jaw flickered but he nodded with a small sigh, "I know. And I-I love you."
Blaine saw the twitch and heard his stutter. She sighed and stepped back over to him. "Let's just go, yeah?"
Andion nodded again and took her hand in his, "Yeah. We need to find an inn to stay at…" He coughed and they began to walk.
"Right. Of course. Is suggest one in town, but that might not be the best idea. Maybe we should walk as far as we can before it gets dark and look for one near there?" Blaine suggested, squeezing his hand gently.
Andion squeezed her hand back a little harder, "What about one near the port? It might be easier for when we leave."
