He let the pen hit him. "Uhm. Okay?"
He let the pen hit him. "Uhm. Okay?"
She staggered out of her chair, almost falling, and walked to the fridge. "You want water or anything?"
He watched her go, amused. "No. I'm good."
She pulled out a bottle of water and handed it to him anyway. "Stay hydrated.
He squinted at the bottle suspiciously.
"Something wrong?" She arched her eyebrow and clumsily made her way back to the fridge.
"Is this really just water? Or are you drugging me?" He asked.
Astra looked offended. "Seriously, Winter? Why would I do that?" She scoffed and grabbed yet another beer. "Why are you so afraid of everything? First me, now a water bottle."
He looked pointedly at the bottle in her hand. "Because you're drunk."
"Am not," she protested, as she opened the bottle and took a few sips of it.
He rolled his eyes. "Sure you aren't."
"Glad we agree." She smiled at him, the sarcasm going right over her head.
He shook his head, taking a sip of water after a moment.
"Why are you drinking that? You were right, I drugged it." She said, trying not to laugh
He peered at her. "I'm not sure if you're serious or not." He said slowly.
She turned around so he couldn't see her face while she was smiling. "Once you feel the side effects, you'll see."
He set the water down. Well, no matter what it is, it won't kill me. He thought.
She burst into laughter and quickly turned around. "Did I get you?! Were ya scared?"
He sorted. "Nope." He replied.
She sighed and banged her head on the counter, letting it rest there. "You're so boring."
"I know." He replied with a soft laugh. The alcohol had kicked in, loosening him up a bit, so he wasn't so uptight.
Astra set down her bottle and raised her head to look at him. "Listen buddy," she smirked. "I don't know what your deal is, but you should learn how to have fun once in a while."
Winter grinned. "I already had my fun." He replied.
"Oh really?" She returned his grin, her curiosity growing. "What, did you walk into an arcade once?"
"Yeah." He replied. "It was overwhelming." He said sarcastically.
