"I don't care." He replied.
"I don't care." He replied.
Astra sighed. "So boring… Fine, I'll choose!" She looked around her surroundings, wondering what they should do. "There's a movie theater, an arcade, a bunch of stores… Hm." She glanced back at him. "I'm going to give you two options!"
He sighed loudly. "Fine." He waited, crossing his arms and frowning slightly.
"We could go to the park! Or…" she flashed him a mischievous grin and continued, "We could go somewhere scary."
"Scary. If you're making me make the decision." He said, expressionless.
Astra smiled at how indifferent he seemed. "Let's go then," She grabbed his hand and drug him throughout the streets until they reached their destination: a haunted mansion
Winter followed her, silent.
She grinned. "Welcome to my one of my favorite places! It scares me a bit, but I think I might be getting used to it." she lied through her teeth, trying to seem tough. Sure, she came here a lot, but she was still scared by even the tiniest noises. Her grip on his hand tightening, she led him inside. "Do you like it?"
It was pretty for sure, but at the same time it was filthy. Blood and graffiti was everywhere, and it looked like there was a murder scene every 6 steps of the way.
He shrugged, seeming completely unfazed. And in reality, he really wasn't. "It's okay."
"It's okay, you can be real with me!" she chuckled. "You don't have to act so tough all the time."
There were voices in the distance, they sounded like they were coming from upstairs. Astra, however, was too distracted by both Winter and her nearby surroundings to hear them.
"It really isn't all that scary." He replied, glancing over at her.
She let go of his hand. "Whatever you say, Winter!" She grinned, seemingly teasing him in a sense. The voices quieted down and Astra started to walk upstairs. "You gonna follow or not?"
Winter sighed. "I'm coming." He said, following her up the stairs.
They reached the top of the stairs. "Look, completely empty!" She gestured around the crumbling, rotten building. However, it was clearly not empty, as there was a large fire in the middle of the room they were in. She aimlessly walked further into the room, looking at the broken ceilings that let what little sunlight there was into the building.
He raised an eyebrow, gesturing at the fire. "Not empty." He replied.
She turned and looked at him, rolling her eyes. "Just because there's a fire doesn't mean that there are other people here."
(Should I make the group of kids a bunch of satanists and have them try to attack? (just an idea lol) Or something? Do you have a preference lol)
He shook his head. "Where there's smoke, theres fire." He replied cryptically.
(Lol idk. If you want, they could be the entity(s) that gave Winter his immortality? Altho if they are, id prefer to be the one narrating them)
(Oh sure! And go ahead lol because I have no idea how that would work out.)
Astra tilted her head before she saw the people (or person) standing in the corner. Her eyes widened. "Oh my gosh, you were right."
Winter saw them, and paled slightly. "Shit shit shit, we have to get out of here." He said, pushing her towards the stairs.
One of the figures came closer. "Is this her?" They asked. They looked genderless. A thin body whose gender wasn't easily tellable. Hair cut short, bright blue. Eyes a strange purple.
"Her who?" Winter asked, staring at them.
"The one who will break you, of course." Blue hair replied.
"Break him?" She looked slightly offended and stepped in front of Winter. "Who the fuck are you, coming in here and asking him questions," she scoffed. Astra was extremely protective and bold when it came to her friends. Winter was no exception
Winter sighed softly. "Astra, don't." He said quietly. He looked at the person. "No. Now leave me alone. This wasn't part of the deal."
The person laughed darkly.
"Yeah, leave him alone!" She gave them an annoyed look and stormed off, dragging Winter behind her
The figure got in their path, touching a finger to where Astra was touching Winter, laughing. "After so many years…" It said softly.
Winter frowned. "I'm not…no!" He insisted.
"Hey, what's your deal?!" She protectively stood in front of Winter. "Can't you see he doesn't want to talk to you?"
The person laughed, pushing Astra aside. "This doesn't concern you, mortal." They replied, flashing white teeth.
Winter frowned. "Just leave, Itian. We made the deal fair and square." He said.
