“The city, it’s a mess,” Eli repeated, raising his voice a bit. He climbed over a bit of rubble that was in the road as he went along.

Jordan sways, his eyes rolling back to the back of his head and he falls. Crashing to the ground with a loud thunk sound from his already damaged head.
Luke sees the guy passed out and decides to flip him over and see what is inside of his supplies. He sees many medicines and bandages in one. He makes his best guest of what each does and takes one that looks like a pain reliever. I guess he is going to have to dry swallow this Luke thinks as he stops looking for water. He puts it in the man's mouth and lifts his head up, hoping it would go through his throat. Luke didn't need to be here but he waited anyways.
Jordan chokes and the medicine. He coughs and sits up, grunting at the weight of the pack, "What the hell?" He coughs again, clutching his throat.

"Oh… yeah, it is. We lost my mom and one of my brothers to one of the earthquakes when all this madness first started. We were unlucky that time, and we were very near to the epicenter, and trapped inside a building," Seneca replied, drawing a little closer to Eli so communication would be easier, "This earthquake seems to have been at least as powerful as that one was, which is saying something. I don't know that anyone in that city is left besides us."
"You were passed out so I put that in your mouth so you would stay alive." Luke got up and brushed the dirt off of his pants. "Well, now I have nothing to do so I'm gonna go off."
Jordan stands, leaning on the wall and heaving with suppressed coughs, "DId you put that stuff back?" He narrows his eyes.

(Computer just glitched)
"What stuff?" Luke faltered in his movements and turned back around to face him.
"The medicine. Dumbass." Jordan spat back
"Of course I did." Luke said hoping he wouldn't hear the slight change in his voice. He stole the medicine just in case he needed it in the future. He left some in the man's pack, hoping that he wouldn't notice the casings missing. "Don't worry about it, feel better." Luke hurried to say while walking away quickly.
"DOnt lie. Being me I can tell."
"I'm not." Luke countered. He shifted slightly onto his right foot while clutching his backpack strap with his left arm. "Your probably paranoid since you fell down like three times. You just need some sleep."
"And you dont tell me what to do." Jordan snaps back immediately taking his backpack off and rifling through the stuff, "You did!" He gets to his feet and starts running

“Oh, goddamn..” Eli breathed out, looking over at Seneca with a sympathetic look on his face. “I’m sorry about that, Seneca,” he added. He seemed to really mean it, too. Sure, he lost his parents in the illness, but he imagined the earthquakes to be much worse.
"It's all been pretty scary, but at least… at least I'm not being led by a false hope that my family might be alive," Seneca sighed, "Although if that were the case, I'd have something driving me on. I mean… I think this is just it. Had it been just one type of disaster, we could've rebuilt, but this has been full on cataclysm."
“Yeah, I get it. All of this will never be the same. It’ll most likely have to be torn down and built back up again,” Eli added before asking a quick question. “What happened to your dad? Is he alive?”
"No. Drowned in a tsunami. I found his body, and I tried to revive him, but I just did CPR on a corpse for half an hour," Seneca replied, grimacing at the memory, "So after that, it was me and my oldest brother, but he came down with the plague too, and wasn't as lucky."
Eli frowned even more at that as they got away from the city, seeming to be in a more suburban area now. “I’m sorry about all of that. It must have been terrible to loose everyone like that,” he said. He still had a few people left, but he couldn’t imagine being completely alone.
"Again, at least I'm not out searching for people I'll never find," Seneca sighed, "What about you? You're all alone here?"
"And you dont tell me what to do." Jordan snaps back immediately taking his backpack off and rifling through the stuff, "You did!" He gets to his feet and starts running
Luke quickly ran the second he saw the other guy looking through his stuff. He jumped over the rubble from the aftermath of the earthquake and dodged many hanging out edges that could tear his body in half. He looked back and saw the guy quickly gaining on him. He went into a building and climbed up the steps as fast as he could. When he got to the roof, he jumped across it onto thee next building and stopped to take a breath. He knew that the other guy would quickly be up the roof in a matter of seconds so he concentrated on his breathing and slowing his heart rate down.
Jordan banged his entire body on the door to the roof. He charges out on top and scans the area. He was breathing heavily and his sight was tunneling fast but he didnt stop. He took a running leap and crashed on top of the other guy on the other roof. He pins him down with his knees as he drags his arm around to his back in a half nelson, Got ya piece of shit."
Luke was struggling a bit and tried to get away but it was doing him no good. "Just let me keep it!" Luke yelled. He took another deep breath before continuing. "You have so much more, surely you won't need a few more pills." Luke tried again to overpower him but the guy was much too strong.
"Yeah. Tell that to me when I find more survivors that may need it. This isnt for myself." He falters slightly. He wasn't making any sense in his mind. No. He still sounded spoiled. He curses.
"I may need it, and this is my only chance of getting it." Luke said while lowering his voice. What he didn't mention was his little sister, Victoria, that was in dire need of the medicine. He didn't want pity or remorse, he just needed the damn pills.
