I'm here!
I'm here!
(Alright, great! I’ll write up an intro)
The sun was rising on a Monday morning. It was a cool morning, a bit of fog lingering in the air. There should have been kids getting up and getting ready for school, and adults should be driving to work. But not that day. The city was in ruins, a big crack down the middle of it from an earthquake. The skyscrapers and houses there were crumbling and destroyed. There were not that many people left in the city, just a few.
Jordan was laying spread-eagled on his back. A bloody lump on his head and a few choking breaths. He was still alive. Miraculously. His eyes flutter open slowly and blinks at the sunlight. He tried to remember what had happened. He was trying to escort people the building. That's right. And then a particularly large wave hit and he flying. Straight out a window. The last thing he could remember where the screams of the people that where left as the building collapsed down on them.
Seneca dragged himself into the city, in hopes someone was left. He was shaking and weak, still not fully recovered from his illness, even though his symptoms had ceased two weeks or so ago. The earthquake had hit much harder here than where he had come from, and he was increasingly glad he hadn't been here during the seismic event. He entered the streets, and at first, he saw no one.
Eli was walking through the cracked streets. He had a backpack slung on his back, the weight of a few sets of clothes and supplies making it feel a bit heavy on his shoulders. It had been about a year or so since the disasters hit, one by one. It was amazing at how quickly so many people had died. The city seemed empty.
Keith strode down a ruined alleyway, the buildings were uneven now, and the dumpster had long been raided clean. He heard a commotion around the corner, and scouted it out. Three men stood, harassing a group, an old man, a little girl, and a nondescript man.
"Look, all I'm saying is… if you wanna get past us, you gotta give us half your stuff." One bandit said, smirking, aiming his piece upwards. Keith went through every scenario in his head.
As Eli walked, he squinted as he thought he saw a figure in the street. He hadn’t seen really anyone since the disasters happened, well, besides bandits of course. But this man appeared to be about his age, and looked a bit disheveled. “Hello?” He called as he neared a bit closer.
(Is he talking to Keith?)
(Or Seneca?)
Jordan grunts slightly as he rolls onto his stomach then pushes up to his hands and knees. He sits back no his heels and looks around. The bump on his head throbbing horribly.
(He’s talking to Seneca.)
Seneca thought he might have heard something- a human voice, perhaps. Still shaking, he did a quick sweep of his surroundings, and he missed Eli at first, but then his figure caught his eye.
"Uh… hello?" he called, feeling faint. Things were a little surreal at the moment.
Eli’s pace quickened to a jog, and he eventually stopped when he saw the whites of the young man’s eyes. He still should be cautious. “Are you okay?” He asked.
Jordan stumbles against a wall, bounces off it and falls. His legs felt like jello when ever he tried to get up after that. His head was spinning and he couldnt see straight
Seneca tilted his head. "What was that?" He heard sound, but Eli wasn't close enough. Seneca couldn't make out the individual words.
He hoped he wouldn't scare the other young man off. He hoped he wouldn't think he still had the plague, but he appeared sick and worn down, so that was likely.
I am there//
(Hi)
Luke got up from under an already crumbled down building and looked around. It wasn't the worst earthquake that had happened, but the damage was still significant. He saw a man walking around and Luke would have assumed that he was drunk but nowadays it was hard to get alcohol and no one wants to be drunk during these times. He walked over to the guy and then out of nowhere he fell. He wasn't a doctor but knew that it wasn't normal. It was most likely from the earthquake that had happened. There was dried blood on his head and his pupils were blown.
"Hello, can you here me?" He decided to start off with. His eyes weren't closed but it seemed like he had birds flying in a circle around his head. If he heard him, the man was most likely still alive.
Jordan looks around, "Huh? Who? Me?" He points to himself, trying to see straight through the weird lights in his eyes.
"No, I'm talking to the clouds. Of course you." Now Luke knew that he was in fact alive so he stuck his hand out for him to reach so he could get up. "Can you walk?"
"I dunno. Can I?" Jordan stumbles slightly but got to his feet. At be it he resembled a new born fawn on it's wobbly legs.
"That's a start. Maybe wanna consider removing that armor of yours. Is there anything important in it that will help you survive" Luke put his hands in his back pocket and rocked himself on his heels.
"Huh?" Jordan looked from the guy then to his attire, "What's wrong with it, bub?"
"Nothing at all, maybe some of the items are keeping you from walking properly or it might feel to heavy."
