Kaz glanced back at Kaden. "Would you please put the knife away? I'd rather you don't trip and stab yourself, thanks."
Kaz glanced back at Kaden. "Would you please put the knife away? I'd rather you don't trip and stab yourself, thanks."
He rolled his eyes. "My knife might be the only thing that keeps you alive." He growled.
"I'm perfectly capable of keeping myself alive with or without your little toy," Kaz hissed. They continued to walk for a block or so before stopping in front of what looked like an abandoned building. "Here we are."
"You say that now, but you'll be thinking differently when I save your ass." He hissed back. He looked at the building they stopped at. he pushed open the door, knife raised.
Instead of being dingy and disused, the inside of the building was more of a hidden bar. There was quiet rock music playing in the background, and a few people were scattered throughout the room. It was bigger than it looked, and a man in a suit who didn't quite look human stood behind the bar counter cleaning glasses. It was warmly lit, and Kaz smiled a little. "Welcome to one of the last safehouses for the 'gifted' in the city."
//should I show up
Kaden only lowered his knife after scooping out the place and deeming it safe. He tucked his knife into his jeans waist pants. "Could you get any more cliche?" He asked sarcastically.
(yeah you can show up now lol) Kaz scowled at him. "Could you be any more of a dick?"
"I can show it to you if that's what you want." Kaden smirked.
Chandra looked up from where she sat in a brightly lit corner, seeing Kaz. (Pretending they know each other since they’re both ‘regulars’ of a sort?) “Hey!” She waved.
Kaz rubbed at his eyes. "First of all, children present," he said, pointing at Malachi. "Second of all, buy me a drink first," he chuckled awkwardly
(that works lol) Kaz turned around. "Oh, uh. Hey Chandra," he said, waving a little at her
“Who are your friends? You brought a kid here?”
He shrugged. "We could always take it to another room." He took a seat on one of the bar stools. He looked around.
Kaz sighed. "He's a dick," he said, pointing at Kaden, "and this guy got abandoned," he said, pointing at Malachi
“This is a bar,” she rolled her eyes.
"I know, but it's also a safehouse," Kaz grumbled, sliding into a bar stool next to Kaden
"Anyone want a drink?" He asked the people in the room/bar/safe house.
Kaz gave him a look. "Are you trying to buy everybody here a drink? And here I thought you hit on one person at a time," he scoffed. He turned to the bartender, a tan man with dark eyes. "Can the kid get a glass of water for now? Put it on the tab."
He chuckled. "I'll buy you a drink if that's what you want darling." He smirked.
Kaz gave him a look that seemed to be caught in the middle of laughing and frowning. "I'll need something in my system to deal with you," he huffed
He snorted and ordered a drink for himself. He downed it in a couple drinks and put the glass back on the counter.
//aha make them date now
The bartender silently slid Kaz a bottle of what looked like some kind of German beer. "Maybe you'll look better when I'm drunk," he said under his breath before taking a sip out of the bottle
(lol it'll probably take Kaz a while to be ok enough with Kaden to want to date him)
