Malachi stared up at the man handing Kaz the key. Quickly, he signed one of the few things he knew. Thank you!
Argo glanced down to find Malachi trying to sign to him. He grinned, signing You're welcome to the kid. Kaz chuckled a little, glad that Argo was enjoying himself a little
Malachi didn't understand how to sign much, but could translate it clearly.
"This place is so nice…"
Argo chuckled silently, grabbing his cup of coffee and moving around the desk. He put the coffee in the crook of his arm to sign something to Kaz. Kaz nodded, turning to Malachi. "Argo says he'd be happy to give us a tour of the gardens and stuff tomorrow if you want. But not tonight, because he's working."
"I know," he said in a chipper tone. Turning to Argo, he started talking about Kaz being stubborn and not wanting to rest.
Argo nodded along before scowling at Kaz. He made a few gestures with his hands and Kaz huffed. "Alright, alright, I'll go to sleep when we get up to the room." Argo frowned a moment before signing again, and Kaz scowled. "No, you don't need to walk us to the room, we're perfectly fine on our own, thanks."
(kicks this back to the first page)
Pulling on Kaz's sleeve, he argued against him.
"We might be, but you sure aren't."
(If Malachi were older he would say: Like hell you're 'fine'! You screwed yourself over like a dumb ass and made us worry.)
Argo scowled. He started to sign furiously at Kaz, and Kaz scowled. "Hey, hey, leave me alone! I did it to help people!" he huffed. Argo scowled before turning to Malachi. What did he do? he signed to him
"Well, he jumped out of a gaping hole in the side of a building, into a helicopter, and then it crashed with him still inside. He did do it to save Kaden though," Malachi said innocently.
Argo's eyes widened, and he took a deep breath. Slowly, he turned to Kaz, before furiously signing things at him and pointing at Kaden a few times. Kaz facepalmed before putting a hand up. "Okay, okay. Yeah, helicopter bad, even if it was to save my new boyfriend. Just gimme a break okay, it's been rough lately."
(I'm laughing so hard help)
(that was the point lol)
(IT WORKED LOL)
Malachi snickered at Kaz's response. Kaden was starting to seem kinder and with time, he would learn to like him.
Argo huffed. He made a few last signs before starting to walk. Kaz groaned. "Ugh. You're housing us in the parallel? C'mon man, I can't afford that." Argo didn't bother looking back, just signing I'll pay over his head
"The parallel…?" Malachi asked hesitantly. Was that what they called the fanciest room at the top?
Kaz sighed. "This hotel is big and fancy, right? Well, it's also big and fancy for another reason. Argo here is a dimensional demon. He's able to fold entire buildings to make copies of them in other dimensions. This is just a tiny piece of the series of hotels his boss owns, with the biggest section being the parallel. It's a safezone for the supernatural, and a lot of the time it's expensive."
Malachi nearly wiggled in excitement. He'd never been in such a fancy place, much less another dimension!!!
(Calixto??)
(I MEAN MALACHI, FRICK)
(lol) Kaz shrugged. "Yeah, it's pretty cool your first time there. Argo's boss is a dick though." At that Argo scowled at him, and Kaz put his hands up defensively. "Hey, hey, he kinda is. Dude's basically interdimensional satan." At that Argo made a sort of agreement shrug
Malachi still wasn't used to the profane language Kaz occasionally used, but ignored it. He was excited and barely able to hold most of it in.
