"A few towns west of the new territory I believe." She seemed very calm by this point. "It's a decent sized town, yes. But this could expand us if we acquire it first."
"A few towns west of the new territory I believe." She seemed very calm by this point. "It's a decent sized town, yes. But this could expand us if we acquire it first."
"Fair point," Lucifer hummed, considering strategy to continue expansion. "I shall alert our forces on standby. Thank you," he stated. "As for those with humans, I'm asking only this of you: keep them tamed, willing to serve. Find a simple way to make them… cooperate," he finishes, casting a glance at Cicada.
"If there is nothing else from you lot, that shall be all."
Maria nods slightly. She didn't know what she got James into. Maybe she shouldn't have brought him to the meeting after all.
Cicada started drawing patterns on Nikki’s arm. She wasn’t getting as much of a reaction but it was fine. She didn’t care much for Luci’s formal speeches. However, the demon paid fervent attention.
Nikki's breathing hitched again. She was tempted to kiss her but didn't want to get in in trouble. The amount of teasing that was happening to her would double for Cicada when they got home.
Aria put on the dress and sighed, walking to the living room and sitting down on one of the couches while she waited. She combed through her hair with her fingers and looked around, silently wondering what these meetings are for.
(Sry I didn't respond sooner, I was exhausted and I fell asleep)
Cicada rolled her eyes and looked to Lucifer, “Oh come on Luci. When have I ever let you down?”
"There's a first for everything," the king of hell teased half heartedly. Looking back at Axtin, he began to inquire about the human he had mentioned only moments before his arrival.
"Bring her here," he ordered simply.
Nodding, the shorter male made the quick teleportation home.
Noticing Aria's door was open, he took a quick glance inside. Not seeing her, Axtin found her in the living room, lounging on the sofa, seeming quite bored.
"Apologies. I wasn't allowed to return until the meeting was over. I am still required to present proof I am housing a human however," he stated, holding out a hand for the girl to take.
(Sry I didn't respond sooner, I was exhausted and I fell asleep)
(It's cool)
Cicada gave the king a slight grin before returning to trace patterns on Nikki's arm. She had nothing else to say.
"Fine. But this better not take long." She took his hand and stood up, "why do you have to show that you are housing a human?"
Cicada gave the king a slight grin before returning to trace patterns on Nikki's arm. She had nothing else to say.
"Cicada…" she muttered, having nothing really to say. She just wanted her name to roll off her tongue, showing the other demons who owned her.
"Fine. But this better not take long." She took his hand and stood up, "why do you have to show that you are housing a human?"
"It's usually frowned upon if we don't. It's a weird thing to explain. It'd be wise of you to try and hold your tongue where we're going. Smart remarks aren't going to make the king of hell happy," he stated before speaking the same incantation to travel back to the meeting hall. It seemed to be only seconds until they were back into the room with the other demons. "Here she is," Axtin stated, still beside the mortal. He seemed to be highly uneasy compared to just a moment ago.
Lucifer smiled wickedly.
"Pretty little thing you found, hm?" he asked with a raised brow. He didn't expect an answer as Axtin gave a firm nod.
"You must be Aria." She looked at her with a curious glare.
Cicada studied Aria. Not as pretty as Nikki, but not half bad either, "He really seemed to have. Nice find Axtin."
Feeling somewhat better, Axtin gave a small smile towards Cicada. "Same to you," he replied formally, eager for the intimidating presence of Satan himself to leave. While he served him, it didn't make it less unnerving.
Cicada gave Axtin a small smile. She looked to Nikki, "I'm well aware. Luci are we done yet? I have things to do."
(I would have had him leave but I was trying to by time for Grace to get a word in oof)
Lucifer gave a slight glare towards Cicada. She was always one of the few who was more carefree around him. Quite a nice change. Softening his gaze, the king of hell turned to exit the room.
"Yes. You are dismissed."
And with that, the tall man was gone.
Axtin seemed to visibly relax at that, already seeming in a better mood. "Damn, even though that was fairly short, it seemed to drag on a while…" he thought out loud.
Maira laughed. "It did. Even though not that much was said to begin with."
Cicada studied Aria. Not as pretty as Nikki, but not half bad either, "He really seemed to have. Nice find Axtin."
Nikki’s heart stopped for a moment, suddenly feeling the umost self concious. She watched her eyes dig into Aria like she was a dessert she hadn’t had in forever. She bit her lip and looked down, slipping off of Cicadas lap and onto her own feet
Cicada wrapped a hand around Nikki as she stood up. She had a smile over at Axtin and the younger female demon, "I'm just glad it's over. These things are always so boring."
Not being able to stop his usual teasing manner, Axtin couldn't keep his mouth shut. "Cicada, dear, it seems like someone's a bit jealous of your attention~."
Her face pinkened as she looked up at the somewhat good looking demon. She looked back down, letting Cicada’s arm snake around her waist
Cicada put a hand on her chest as she mocked a gasp, "I'm quite curious. Is it you Axtin?"
Playing along, Axtin put a hand on his chin in false thought. "Afraid not, though it is good to see you, don't get me wrong," he replied in a teasing tone.
