Nyx blinked slowly. He could not speak unless he was told to, even if he was asked a question. He was wondering, too, who exactly this man was, who had awoken him like this. He wasn't dressed like a scientist, and he didn't seem…didn't seem like he knew much about how Nyx worked.
Zeke waited a bit for an answer before sighing. "Alright then. We can save that for later. We need to get out of here. Can you stand up?" He said as he went back over to the keypad and unplugged his stuff and shoved it back in his bag.
Nyx got out of the pod, watching Zeke and waiting for another order. His arms stayed by his sides, the metal shining dimly. He blinked slowly.
Zeke slung his bag over before walking back to Nyx. "Answer my questions." He said, getting a bit impatient. The longer he spent here the more likely he was to get caught.
Nyx blinked again. "I couldn't." He said slowly. "I still can't. Programming prevents it." His voice was hoarse from disuse, the words careful and measured.
Zeke groaned a bit. "Alright then. That is something we will have to fix later. I'm guessing I need to give you commands then." He said. Zeke always hated giving commands to anything but if this was the only way to get Nyx out of here he would do it. "Stand up."
Nyx nodded, and stood up, looking at Zeke. His black hair hung into his face a little bit, his blue eyes flicking around the room for a moment, before focusing on the other male again.
Zeke let out a breath of relief when the command worked. "Good. Follow me." He said as headed to the door and out into the hallway.
Nyx followed Zeke quietly, desperate to know who the hell he was, what was going on. But he stayed silent. He couldn't speak, no matter how much he wanted to.
Zeke twisted around hallway and eventually got to the vent he had crawled in through. With a jump he was up into the vent. "Come on!" He said to Nyx, making sure he was following him.
(Can we skip to when they get to Zekes place?)
(yeah totally)
Nyx hesitated, then followed Zeke up the vent, eyes flickering slightly as he crawled through the vent after Zeke.
They finally arrived back at Zeke's place, which was a small apartment filled with computers and various electronic devices. Cords were ramped and flash drives were scattered about. In the main room there was a old blue couch and a black coffee table that had several empty coffee mugs on it.
"Sit on the couch." He told Nyx as he slung his bag off at the end of the couch and dissappeared into another room.
Nyx sat down obediently, eyes flashing around the room, then back to Zeke, watching him warily. He took a deep breath, hands resting on his legs. He didn't speak. He couldn't. His black hair was messy, and unkept.
Zeke came back in shortly after with a few cords and a laptop. He sat down cross leged next to Nyx as he logged into the computer.
"Awnser this question. Do you have a place for a transfer cable?" He asked as he help up a cable, his eyes still on the laptop.
Nyx nodded. "Yes." He replied, eyes watching Zeke warily. His hands still rested on his knees, though he didn't speak again. He took a deep breath, eyes flashing.
"Where is it? Please awnser." He said as he looked for it. He couldn't seem to find it on any of the obvious places. That or he was just confused. Zeke didn't work with cyborgs much, but he did work with their code.
"The back of my neck." Nyx replied, twisting and showing Zeke the port located on the back of his neck. He went still, one finger resting just above the data port. He took a deep breath, wondering what was going to be done to him.
"Thanks." Zeke said as he plugged the cord into the socket. He plugged the other end into his computer snd began to type away.
"Now I know you can't respond to me but I just want to let you know all I'm going to do is delete the programing that only allows you to take orders." He said as he worked on the code.
Nyx nodded a little bit, but otherwise didn't move or respond. His eyes, however, flashed around the room again, landing on Zeke as he watched him worriedly. He didn't understand what was happening, and hoped that Zeke would eventually explain.
His eyes were fixed on the computer as he typed. After about ten minutes he looked up. "Alright! That should work! Can you try to do something without me ordering you?" Zeke asked as he looked over at Nyx, anxious to know if it worked.
Nyx bit his lower lip a little bit, and simply balled his hand into a fist, then relaxed it again. He gave a simple nod in Zeke's direction. He still couldn't speak.
"Good! Can you talk?" Zeke asked, glad that it had worked.
Nyx shook his head a little. The controls for speech were different than for movement, since movement was far more varied and more difficult to control.
Nyx frown before going back to typing and clicking on the laptop. "D@mn. Your speech code is a lot more complex then the rest. It might take a bit more time to decode that. Do you know how to write?" Zeke asked, looking at Nyx.
Nyx blinked slowly, then nodded. Yes, he did know how, though he didn't remember learning. He bit his lower lip a little bit.
