"Do you want to be free, Jay?"

"Or rather. Who is staying behind?"

Jay just didn't reply.

"I'm leaving one way or other. We don't have time to be doing this again."

"fine then let's go."

"I call distraction. " he was already off with a few ideas in mind

Kale was silent for a moment before staring at Jordan. "You… You can stay if you want. But don't think I will ever forget you." They reached out towards Jay, placing their shaking hand on his shoulder. "Ready?"

"yeah." Jay answered simply.

Jordan looks back at them, "you better not…"

"Better not what?" Kale's face showed grief despite nothing happening yet.

Jordan laughs, "Forget. I'll haunt you. Woo~" He laughs

"Fucks sake…" Kale shook their head, a small smile curving on their lips. "See you on the other side kid, whenever that may be."

"Yep!" Jordan skips off, ready to cause havoc.

Kale took a shaky deep breath, waiting for the coast to be clear. "Are you okay, Jay?" they whispered.

"yeah I'm fine." Jay replied.

Jordan runs up to all the bathrooms. He grabs the soap and sends them down the halls with water. He then starts yelling at the top of his lungs and slides down the stair railing. He runs to the kitchen again and spills the garbage , food and water with as much noise as possible while still making sure he had a clear path to the basement

"Goodness, he's waking the entire building up." Kale whispered.

"Woo!! Rebel!!" He runs in the opposite direction of the two

Jay heard footsteps of people running. He guessed it was the house parents. "Alright let's go."

Kale nodded, taking Jay's hand tightly, making a break for the front door amid the chaos. "May the gods aid him."

"yeah. Hope he lives." Jay said.

Jordan was panting now. The house parents where all around him. He smiles as he ducks into the basement.

Kale held onto Jay's hand tighter for fear of letting him go. They kept running into the surrounding forest, not looking back for even a second. "It's going to get bumpy around this area, are you okay still running?"

"yeah. I'll just try not to fall." Jay said as they ran.

"If you really need it I can carry you on my back, but lets see how we go." Kale could hear voices of the houseparents in the distance behind them. "They've noticed we've gone!"
