"Guys now isn't the time for arguing, lets just go already." Kale smiled weakly.
"Guys now isn't the time for arguing, lets just go already." Kale smiled weakly.
"Alright, how will we be leaving?" Jay asked wondering what the plan was.
"I distract them, you two run out the front door, I follow afterwards when they're away from the area."
"Alright, just don't get caught." Jay said and put a hand on one of their shoulders.
"Bruh! I will distract! We went over this!" Jordan snarls. He wasn't going to let it go. There wasn't anything left for him here and at least these two would escape
They put their hand on top of Jay's, squeezing it gently as they glared at Jordan. "If I distract them I have a better chance of escaping, because I won't purposely do anything that will get myself killed. You will make sure Jay gets out safely, got it? No more questions." Kale staggered out of the room into the main hall.
"Hey! No!" Jordan barks, following after Kale
Kale grabbed Jordan, pulling him out of sight before any of the houseparents noticed them there. They held him against the wall, gripping his collar tightly, whisper shouting. "What the fuck are you doing? You could have got us both caught then! I know you want to die but I am not letting you, just accept that someone actually gives a fuck about you. I need you to make sure Jay gets out safe, okay? I am not letting you put yourself in harms way so then only two of us can escape. All three of us are getting out, you hear. You are coming with us, I want you to come with us."
"Want? Sure." He whispers. He rips out of Kale's grasp, "I hardly know you. Either of you. But putting my life on the life is almost meaningless to you guys. You have known Jay for how long now? He'd be devastated. As for me. Nothing."
Jay just stood there and sighed.
Kale hits the wall beside Jordan's head, their body shaking in frustration. Tears started falling from their eyes. "You don't understand. I know you, and now that I know you I want to see you safe. I don't know why, but that's just how I work. I don't want to spend the rest of my life regretting your death, knowing I could have done something to prevent it. I don't want to have something weighing on my mind so much that I won't be able to focus on making Jay happy."
Jordan had gasped and flinched with the force of the punch to the wall. He looks away and down, "You wouldn't. You would probably forget withing the month."
The tears kept falling, Kale didn't bother trying to hold them back at that point. "I don't forget things that easily, I still remember the songs my mother used to sing when I was a baby and I remember clear as day that car crash that killed them. I never forget a face, nor a name, so I sure as hell will never forget the stubborn, selfless person that is Jordan Reed."
Jordan hisses at that, "How can you call this selfish? Sure. I'm stubborn but I'm risking my Fucking life for you two. So you can live the rest if your lives in a better place then this shut hole."
"I said selfless, that's the complete opposite of selfish." They let out a short grim chuckle.
(Oh selfless XD
Jordan looks up at the other, "Selfless…"
Kale met Jordan's eyes, their own still filled with tears yet no emotion was displayed on their face. "Yes, selfless."
"Then why won't you just et me?" He snarls
"Because I don't want another death to remember. So please, just get Jay out of here." Kale moved away from Jordan, slowly heading in the direction of the houseparents at the front door.
Jordan snarls, "For the last time. No. You take him. Now."
Jay walked out of the kitchen and stood near them ."you know I'm not an object."
Kale froze at Jay's words, their emotionless expression faltering into one of heartache. Have I really been treating him like an object? They turned around, facing the other two boys. "Jay, what do you want to do?"
Jordan was breathing heavily
"I don't know. It's not like I could really help."
