"I'm not supposed…Not supposed to be cold," he says, looking down at his hands. They've stopped melting, but they're still glowing white hot
"I'm not supposed…Not supposed to be cold," he says, looking down at his hands. They've stopped melting, but they're still glowing white hot
Orion looks at him curiously. "You aren't cold. Not at all. I actually expected there to be metal puddles everywhere."
"Look at me!" he yells, gesturing to himself. "I-I'm purple! I'm cold!" The blue that had leaked into the red coloration on his body had turned a molten violet, and splotches of silver had appeared on his armor
For a moment, Orion had stared at him. Suddenly, with a spattering rune blazing blue on Orion's chest, a ball of fire forms in the air between them. Fire itself, is not odd, but the fact that the flames are blue definitely is. "Touch it." ((The fire is cold to the touch))
Sam reached up to touch it. It was cold, almost cold enough to burn. He jerked his hand back, eyes wide as he looked down at his hand. His hand should have been covered in cracks, but nothing had happened. "I…What?"
"You are actually not cold in the slightest. At the moment you are incredibaly hot. One who plays with fire ought to know that blue fire is the hottest type. You are not cold, your nerve endings just don't know how to handle that much heat. Over time I imagine that you will learn to use it to your advantage." Orion smiles, playing with the ball of fire, the barest of burns covering his hands.
"That…That can't be right! My internal temperature is over that of the nearest sun, I would know if I was cold! You did something to me!" Sam could feel panic setting in, he knew he was probably on the verge of a panic attack but didn't know how to stop himself
"Now I would equate your body temperature to close to a supernova. You. Are. Not. Cold. Or. Dying. Why is this a difficult topic to grasp?" Orion doesn't seem to want to do this, he looks tired.
"Then explain this!" He used the sink to pull himself up. His chest hurt as he moved, but he ignored it to put a hand out. Molten metal dripped from his palm onto the floor, but it did nothing but spark and hiss a little before cooling. "It's not. Supposed. To do that," he wheezed out
(I gtg, PE, sorry)
(ugh, PE sucks. have fun dude)
"It is doing that because you are only using the runes that you are familiar with. Try to use the ones that are the other colors. I know the magic is strange, but I have no wish for my house to burn down." Orion traces a few runes on the walls, modified protection symbols. On his own skin, he points out an unfamiliar rune, "This one stands for fire, try to access it, you have one too."
(As it would turn out, PE sucks when you are not an athletic individual.)
(yeah I am the opposite of athletic so PE is horrible) Sam looked down at his chest. He frowned at a line of reddish-purple ones. "I…Okay." He held out his hand and closed his eyes. The line of runes sparked to life on his chest, and a series of small explosions came from his hand. He recoiled, scaring himself with the noise
(GUESS WHO'S BACK
BACK AGAIN)
"Please, try again. Do your best not to fear the power, please." Orion implores Samandriel.
(THIRD TIME THIS WEEK
NEW RECORD)
Lata stared down at her hands, confused. Why is it when I'm around people that something bad happens?
She also was curious if anyone realized she was gone. If they didn't, it wouldn't matter.
(WOAH
IT IS, NICEEEE)
(hello sorry I was asleep for my last class lol) Sam frowned at his hand again. The purpleish-red runes sparked back to life, and he managed a reddish-purple fire in his palm after a few small explosions
(I have no clue what to do with Lucy atm, so I’m Just going to have her look for Lata ig.)
Lucy eventually made her way back outside. She tested the energy of the cabin from the front lawn, and could only feel two collected balls of energy inside. There were supposed to be three. She squeezed the purple stone that was in her pocket, fixing the wavering illusion over her face as she frowned. Who was missing? She let the illusion drop completely for a moment to reach farther distances, and she eventually found a small ball of noticeable energy. She assumed it was Lata and threw up the illusion again, walking in the direction of where Lucy felt her energy.
(SHOOT I GOT DISTRACTED AGAIN)
Lata began to curl in on herself. She began to feel like a burden to others. She felt like going to Orion and telling him she needed to leave. Not because of him though. She could imagine herself asking, "WHY DO YOU THINK YOU FOUND ME ALONE IN THE FIRST PLACE?!"
Lata then thought of Lucy. If they were looking for her, did she actually want to be found? Lucy would be able to sense her aura. Quickly, Lata tried to smother her energy.
(Lmao it’s all good)
Lucy felt her hold on Lata’s energy lessen, and she had to drop the illusion over her face to be able to keep track of it. She felt like Lata was close, and she had a terrible migraine by that time. “Lata?” She called, looking around as she walked at a slower pace.
(I'm just over here spectating till Ca1iCa1 comes back lol)
She heard the familiar voice call her name.
Damn. I didn't hide it well enough…
Lata kept her mouth shut. She didn't feel like talking, much less someone she cared about.
