(Sam's a bit on the insomniac side so he's either up really early or stays up super late)
(Ok ok good. That's what I assumed for the story. Thanks!)
(no problem)
(I keep imagining Sam super angry in the early mornings XD
{Lata then threatened to open the door and let in the cool night air. Samandriel’s eyes widened for a moment, before settling back to a glare.
“Fine. Do what you want. If you die, it’s not my fault.”}
(he is grumpy without coffee lol. oh, do you want a link to his page? I have it more or less completed if you wanna see it)
(Sure. I just needed to know if he would be awake early or if Lata accidentally woke him up with her startled aura. You'll see what I mean when I get a bit further and share it.)
(oh ok, here's his page Samandriel )
After nodding i acceptance, Orion lifts his head with a feral grin. A quick slash across his wrist, and bright red blood mingles with Samandriels near black, not combining, swirling into a vortex that could hypnotize. Orion's eyes blaze blue, the power in the room becoming tangible, enough so that the watchers can taste it on their tongues. His voice thrums through the room, rattling his jars. "One of mind." A flash, a blue sprite come to watch. "One of spirit." Another sprite. "One of soul." An aching pain, one that buries itself into both males bones. "One of heart." Flashing, a rune burning itself above both men's hearts. "One of body." Samandriel starts to heal, the wounds knitting back together. The strangest change occurs in Orion however, with mirror cuts appearing on his chest. From the cuts spreads a curious poison, blue black, and as it spreads it burns blue runes into Orion's chest, copies of Samandriels, while his eyes grow clouded. "One of healing." Runes blaze back to life on Samandriels chest, his body healing itself as Orion's tears him apart. "One of strength." A strange equilibrium is reached, where for just a moment, the damage and healing matches perfectly. "One. We, for just a moment, are ONE!" With the last word Samandriel is fully healed, and Orion's breath is whistling through the hole in his chest. The strange trance on the room is broken, and Orion manages a weak smile before passing out, the blue and rust red runes still on his chest. Quickly, the sprites swarm him, murmuring encouragements and words of strength, healing. Samandriel wakes slowly. His eyes are clear, he can see. The runes on his chest are the same, except for some of them now being a flowing blue, not the normal burning red. All in all, it could have been worse. however drained Samandriel may feel, even with being a demon.
(There y'all go. Orion is passed out until I return. Have fun!)
(I did a thing)
(Just realizing that was over 300 words in one sitting. Good lord.)
(Me reading this in class: FRICK FRICK FRICK OH GODDDDDDDDDDD)
Lata stares at Orion as he falls to the ground, passed out, sprites surrounding him.
What the hell just happened…?
Lucy’s eyes were wide as she looked at the man, who had been called Orion, was slumped over on the ground. He must have caused something extremely powerful, she’s never heard of anything like it. “What I’m God’s name was that?” She exclaimed, looking over at Lata.
(Did I do okay? Sometimes I lose myself to my writing….)
(oh my god ok we fixed Sam) Sam's eyes widened. What the hell..? He looked down at the floor, and he could somehow see the wood grain. That shouldn't be possible, not in this form. He looked down at his chest, seeing the discolored runes. Some of them felt cold while others felt hot, and he put a hand over where there should be a hole in his lung. "What…What did you do?" he hissed
To his credit, Orion doesn't hear a word of what is going on, between his exhaustion and the sprites whispers.
"What did you do?!" Sam yelled, starting to freak out a little. It didn't make sense, cold was bad, he shouldn't be feeling cold, his skin should be cracking open, this body should be bleeding out on the floor. Runes sparked to life on his skin, magic fueled by a growing state of panic
Orion murmures sleepily, "shtoop yahllin, iss stoo loaaud." 'Stop yelling, it's too loud.' Before promptly curling into a tighter ball.
“Sam, just calm down,” Lucy said quickly, a slight stammer in her voice. She felt just as startled by it as him, but she was trying her best to keep it contained.
Sam got up and ran to the bathroom, stopping in front of the mirror. He breathed a sigh of relief when his guardian rune was still in its proper place underneath his right eye. His eyes. Right. How could he see so well in this form? His eyes even seemed brighter, the reddish-gold color almost as bright as it should be in his true form. He looked down at his chest and his ruined clothes. His arm was still covered in armor, and he willed it to retreat back to just a shoulder guard. He moved some of the ruined suit out of the way of his chest. New runes had appeared, a sort of bright blue in random intervals between the normally black tattoos
Lucy exhaled sharply, rubbing her eyes with her palms. She thought to go check and see if he was okay, but her instincts told her to keep her mouth shut and not say anything. Her watch on her wrist gave a soft beep and she stood from the floor, picking up her things. “I need to go to the shelter for a bit, I’m so late..” she rambled quickly, turning on her heel and heading to the door.
Sam went to touch one of the blue runes. It was so…cold. As soon as he touched it, something started to happen. All of the runes started to turn blue, and they flickered from blue to black. His eyes started to partially change color, swirls of ice blue appearing around the irises. The jewels on the shoulder pad of his coat started to turn partially blue, and his body suddenly couldn't decide between hot or cold. He slid down to the floor in front of the sink, staring down at his hands. They started to spark, but when they glowed they became a sort of blue-orange. Molten metal tinged with blue and purple started to leak from his palms, and Sam put a hand over his face as he partially curled up on the floor
Lucy was suprised at how easily the lie had slipped from her mouth. When she got outside, she retraced her steps, eventually ending up back at her cabin. The bodies of the men were slain out on the from lawn, and she felt the urge to gag at the horrific sight. She stepped inside and grew more sick at the sight, things smashed everywhere. She searched around, then made her way down into the basement. Jars and containers were smashed and thrown around, shelves toppled over. She stuffed a few important things into her bag, and was about to leave when she noticed that the Usually locked door was cracked open. She grew curious and swung it open, seeing a stairwell. But the smell was what she noticed first. It smelled like something was dead and rotting, and it made her gag this time. She felt sick to her stomach and shuddered, making her way down the staircase and pulling up her top to cover her nose.
