Quinn kept eating.
Aster was eating, looking preoccupied.
(Bwoppity bwop let's skip to after dinner because bweh)
Charlotte made her way back to her room and sat on a chair near the window, opening the window as far as it would go.
(alright)
Quinn sat down on his bed, and sighed softly, shaking his head slightly.
Charlotte sat on the windowsill and stared out into what was essentially pitch darkness
After a while, Quinn stood, and walked over to Charlotte's door, knocking. It was about time to go to sleep.
Charlotte turned her head to the door, confused. She stared for a few seconds before opening the door. "Er, hello?" She called from the windowsill.
Quinn shifted slightly, raising an eyebrow as the door opened and he saw her on the windshield. "Uhm…can I come in?"
Charlotte nodded uncertainly. "Er, I suppose."
He came in, biting his lip slightly. He wasn't quite sure why he was doing this.
"Close the door behind you, would you?" Charlotte asked softly, still staring out the window.
He closed the door. "Enjoying the view?" He asked, looking at her.
Charlotte shrugged. "Not really," she said with a tiny laugh
He chuckled. "Ah. I'm sorry today was such a disappoinment, by the way." He said, raking a hand through his hair.
Charlotte shook her head. "It's not as though it was your fault. And it was certainly a… learning experience."
He nodded. "Alright. Hopefully we will have more success tomorrow, but I'm not sure."
Charlotte nodded with a small smile. "I'm sure tomorrow will be better," she said softly.
He nodded, sitting down. "I…have a question to ask, actually." He said, gaze slipping down to the carpet.
Charlotte tore her gaze away from the window with some effort. "What is it?" She asked curiously.
"Can I…sleep in here tonight?" He asked slowly. "I can't…sleep alone. I promise I won't try to do anything to you, i just can't sleep by myself." He kept his gaze on the floor.
Charlotte blinked. "I, er…" she tapped her finger for a moment. "I suppose. I don't sleep very often, though."
He nodded. "Okay. I'll sleep wherever you want me to, it's just…I'm so used to having someone else in the room that i can't sleep when I'm alone…"
Charlotte nodded. "You can have the bed, if you like. I'll probably just sit here for a bit."
He nodded. "Okay. Thank you." He said quietly, biting his upper lip slightly.
"And please would you turn out the light?" Charlotte added. "I'd like to see if there are any stars."
