"Make me."
"Make me."
Scott watched the exchange "I'm just going to leave." He eventually commented before vanishing, teleporting himself inside the house.
Liberty nursed her bottle of whiskey, flipping through an old book she had stolen from Leo (her brother) at some point. It was one of his favorites, something about an old fairytale with a few twists, and the pages were bent, telling how many times she had read it. God, I wish he was still here… Going for another swig, she found her bottle was empty, so she bent down to grab another and went right back to reading.
"Wise of you to monitor me, but that makes me more of a prisoner, in a way. Not the kind of prisoner who's committed arson and treated cruelly, but the kind that's treated cautiously, and I know you aren't afraid to kill me, some of you have made that clear." Celeste thinks for a while before talking again, "I'm a bit tired. Am I allowed to sleep, or will I be staying awake, granted that at least one of you will be watching me?"
Arthur wasn't sure how to respond to that, "I have no idea"
Celeste looks slightly annoyed, "For assassins, you think they'd know what they were doing. I'm surprised. I mean, I know you all intended to kill me and all, but did you at least have a backup plan? Ah, nevermind that. I'm going to bed… Uh, where would that be, by any chance?"
"Fuck, uh…you can take my bed." Lillith shrugged/
Arthur shrugged, "there's your answer" he said before heading off into the library.
"Are you sure? I'm not trying to barge in here just to take up space. I could sleep somewhere else if you'd like." Celeste stares into space in thought. "Really," She says, coming back to reality, "you don't have to let me sleep in your bed. It's a bit disrespectful on my part to ask, really."
She snorted, heading to the base of the stairs. "Somebody's gotta use it. And it sure as hell won't be me."
Arthur wandered through the books, picking up a thick one on potions he took it to a pile of pillows in one corner, Shifting he made himself comfortable as he flipped through it boredly.
"I…. Thanks" Celeste mumbles, and she lays down, her mind swirling. Why would they be so nice to me? Even if they're living with their target, why aren't they treating me lesser? They can, because I won't be going anywhere anytime soon without their say.
Lillith took a seat on the cluttered desk, shoving things out of the way and picking up a notebook.
"You draw? Write?" Celeste asks, sitting up. "Not a bad idea, but shouldn't you be watching me? Not like there's anywhere to go from here…"
"Draw. And actually, I was going to sketch you. Problem solved, now go to sleep."
Arthur was up reading for several hours, before finally falling asleep.
"Ok… Night, then" Celeste lays on her back and closes her eyes, and after a while, she drifts off.
(Unless anyone has any plans, Celeste sleeps until daytime, or until someone wakes her)
(I think we need a timeskip til morning…)
((probably. anyone wanna do the honors?
(i will)
Liberty awoke with a groan, the light filtering through her window. It seemed like she passed out on her desk last night, bottles littering her workplace and the book she had been reading laid askew. Standing up, she cracked her back, relieving some of the aches from sleeping sitting down, and went to change her wrinkled clothes, which was difficult with her pounding headache. Maybe I shouldn't of drank so much last night…
Scott had watched the sunrise from his open window but this was disrupted when a small grey bird came flying in past him and flew around a few times before landing on Scott's desk. "Hey Grey." He said to the small bird who reasponded with a small chirp, walking over and putting out his hand to allow Grey to hop on his hand. Scott made his way out of his room and into the common area.
Celeste is still sleeping (she's a heavy sleeper), and is lightly snoring, curled into a fetal position under the covers.
Lillith sighed and stood, stretching like a cat as she hummed and shot a small spark of electricity towards Celeste to wake her.
Throwing on a loose white shirt and brown breeches, Liberty slipped into her boots and heading out of the room, cradling a head with one hand. Maybe someone has something to relieve this headache.
"Ah! Wh-what was that! Are we under attack!? I better-oh." Celeste looks at Lillith and mumbles curses and says that she'll get Lillith back. "You suck." She grumbles at Lillith, sitting up, still half-asleep.
