"I have no ideaβ¦we should get Dev to drink it." she ran to the kitchen, looking through the cabinets for a blender, with complete tunnel vision.

Lucky glanced up as June came running through, looking through the empty cabinets.
"There's nothing there, June. No food, no appliances, nothing much."
He looked back at Alastor. "Thats very helpful to know. There are a few here that⦠It's frankly amazing they've made it this long."
Alastor nodded in agreement, thinking of Liam. He was surprised that such a young kid was able to survive for so long, but he had learned over the years to not underestimate people.
He glanced over at June. "What are you looking for?" He asked curiously.
June sighed loudly, "a blender, to make a smoothie," she hummed, "we should find a supermarket. we could stock up on anything we needed"
"If by anything we need, you mean a blender, I would advise against that." Lucky said quietly. "it's a waste of space and we have no guarantee we'd have power for it." He thought a moment. "Also, didn't Lucas and Ronni say they'd been at a Wal-mart?" The group would need to work on its communication. A lot.
"oh, You know, I don't pay attention much" she hummed, "and i just want to use it like once. We wouldn't need to keep it"
Ronni stepped back from him a bit. "I need your symptoms, Lucas. And how would you know it's not the flu? You've never had it or you'd be dead."
Lucas frowned and nodded slowly.
"My throat feels a bit scratchy and I feel hot and dizzy. But I also feel cold at the same time, when I touch my skin with my hands it feels cold." He said, his voice quickening at the end. "I mean like if I touch my forehead with the back of my hand like my mom used to do, it feels fine, or sometimes even cold."
(Would you guys hate me if I killed off Lucas?)
Lucky looked at her for a moment. "Is this still about that drink you were trying to make before?" He shook his head slowly. "If we can find a place with power, go for it. Though everywhere we've been so far has had no electricity." If it weren't for the windows in the apartment, they'd be standing in darkness now.
He needed to let loose. Maybe the kids had the right idea. But something in his hcest wouldn't let him relax that much.
(oh very much so, but in a wayf that would also be fun)
Liam followed June into the kitchen. "A shaker and ice would also work if we couldn't find a blender." He walked over to Alistor and leaned on his arm. "A blender would be best though."
"Unfortunately, we don't have ice right now," Alastor replied, frowning at the meager supplies they had. "But if there's a Wal-Mart close by then we should be able to get more food. And a blender if they have one."
Lucky stepped over to the fridge and opened the freezer. There was no power, of course, and all the frozen foods were thawed, similar to the raspberries Liam ahd found. "You're not gonna be able to find ice either, without a working freezer." It was kinda sad, butβ¦
They were in the apocalypse, after all.
(Would you guys hate me if I killed off Lucas?)
(I mean, your character, your call, but. Would you put in a new one?)
Liam nodded and rested his head on Alastor's arm. "That makes sense." he said slowly, trying to find another solution. "What if weβ¦" he trailed off into thought.
"What if we what?" Alastor asked, looking at Liam in surprise. He wasn't used to people resting on him, but he didn't move his arm away either. "Finding a store with electricity seems like the best solution right now."
"Might help us a lot of ways, cuz the only places that would have electricity right now would be running off of automatic generators, and if we could find one of those⦠it would solve several of our problems." Lucky's mind was spinning on all the things they could do with a generator. It would be a huge help.
"I was hoping I would come up with something before i finished saying it." Liam said looking up at Aly. "And finding a generator would make an enormous difference." He said to Lucky, smiling.

(I mean, your character, your call, but. Would you put in a new one?)
(yes, but also im debating the whole 'killing off Lucas' thing because I love himβ)
(also I responded to the Ronni thingβ)
(Again, we'll leave it to you, although, if hes sick, hes gonna get avoided like the literal plague!)
Lucky nodded at Liam, his eyes lighting up as he thought about it. "And if we could find a mobile one, or even just a cart or trailer, we could pull it behind the truck easily enough. I think the truck had a hitch." He headed for the front door to check.
He opened the door, but stopped short when he saw Ariella checking on Lucas. Ronni was standing there, looking worried.
And Lucas didn't look good.
"β¦..What's wrong?" Lucky asked, suddenly very serious.

Lucas waved a hand and coughed lightly into his shoulder.
"I think I might have to leave you guys." He said in a small voice. "I don't know if I have the flu, but if I do, I'm sure no one would want to be around me, though it's not contagious, or at least, I don't think it is."
He slid down into a sitting position.
"I think I might have a cold." He said weakly and closed his eyes as he tilted his head back.
"we could always put a generator on the back of the truck." she shrugged, "that would be the best bet in my opinion, easy to move, and uh⦠yeah" She wasn't really paying attention. "where's Dev? he's smartish"
"Then we'll try to find a generator as soon as possible," Alastor said, smiling a bit at the thought they had a plan now. He took a quick peek out of the kitchen and his smile softened when he saw Zeus and Devon.
"My dog has chosen your brother as a pillow and they're both asleep," he answered June, still watching the two of them. It was a pretty adorable sight to see.
Ariella pursed her lips. She checked his ears, his throat. She used a stethoscope to listen to his heart. She grabbed her thermometer to check his temperature. She leaned back on her heels. "I wasn't at the hospital when it hit. I'm not 100% sure what to look for. I have medicine I can give to help ease the symptoms but there's nothing else to do but wait. It could easily be the flue or a common cold. Orβ¦it could be something else. Well have to wait it out."
June smiled looking out the door, "If only I had a camera, he never lets his guard down this much" She sighed softly.
