Danielle took her purple pool shoes from under the bed, then retrieved her towel from the trunk and sat on Annika's bed to put her shoes on.
Marcus' shoulders dropped, and he exhaled. "N-no, it's fine..she'll be upset if I cover it." He said, looking down at himself. "Thank you, though."
"Yep." Otis said. He was mellow on the outside, but inside he was cheering. I FINNALY HAVE A FRIEND! WOOP WOOP! he thought to himself.
Then, the two cabins headed out to the pool. "Hello, everyone!" the lifeguard said as the campers sat down in the benches. "So basically, everyone here has to take a swim test. Everyone." He explained how to do it. The kids lined up. Annika went right in front of Otis. and smiled at Danielle.
Danielle bounced on her feet as she smiled back at Annika. She spotted Marcus and gave him a quick hug before getting right back into her spot.
"Next!" the lifeguard said. Annika jumped in, swam across the short side of the pool, and treaded water for 30 seconds before hopping out and waiting to swim. Otis did the same.
(Okie dokie)
Danielle jumped into the pool, singing in her head as she swan across and trod (it was bothering me so I looked it up) for thirty seconds as Annika had. Marcus went after another kid, but he took the moves as Danielle, though much more careful, then got out as quickly as he could. He ran up and hugged Danielle tightly, and she giggled and patted his head.
Annika smiled, and signaled to Danielle to come over with Marcus. "So, this is your friend?" she asked when they came over.
Danielle grinned, putting an arm around Marcus' waist. "Yep! This Marcus. Marcus, Annika." She said, and Marcus gave a small wave.
(Gotta eat, be back in like, an hour or so)
(Alright! :)
"Sup?" Annika said, smiling. "So, what do y'all wanna do?"
(hiii)
"Why don't you lead the way, Ms. Ten Years?" Danielle said, motioning to Annika.
(lead the way to what, exactly?)
(Pft, I dunno, whatever activity she plans on doing I suppose)
(Alright :)
"Well, I don't exactly know what we plan on doing? Do y'all wanna just talk? We ain't gettin' any younger." Annika said.
Danielle nods, glancing at Marcus and snickered quietly. "I can't believe you actually put it on." She muttered to him, and he looked at the ground and wrapped his arms around himself. "Why do you do these things to me?" He whispered. Danielle shrugged. "I'm your big sister, it's what we do."
"I'm older than you-"
"Shhhh. Sure, Annie, let's go talk!" Danielle giggled, turning with Marcus and heading toward a bench.
Annika just swam around awkwardly, and Otis just stood there.
(ohh, ha, are they still in the pool?)
(yep :)
(Are you planning for your characters to actually talk sbout something, or was it just a time filler?)
(Alright :)
It was time for dinner. Everyone made a quick stop at the cabin to get changed. Annika put on an olive green t-shirt and shorts, and Otis put on a grey t shirt and jeans.
(Ugh sorry, wifi's all over the place)
When they got to the cabins, Danielle changed into a purple shirt with a bunny-eared hood, and matching pants that had a white tail in the back. Marcus changed into a plain teal shirt and blue jeans.
"Cute." Annika remarked as Danielle came out of the bathroom.
Otis sat on his bed and wreote (sorry for the one liners/ late response)
(Lol, iz cool)
"Thank you." Danielle smiled, making her way to the bed. She opened the trunk and took out Marcus' camera, hoping to give it to him during dinner.
Marcus was tempted to sit next to Otis, but instead he leaned against the ladder and watched him for a moment. "Um..w-what are you writing?" He asked quietly.
"Cool camera." Annika said.
Otis' cheeks turned a soft pink, and his emerald green eyes bulged as he clutched his red speckled notebook to his chest. He lowered it after a second, realizing that it was only Marcus. "Nothing, just a story." Otis said with a soft smile, trying to hide his horrible spelling. He bit on his lip, still close-lipped smiling awkwardly.
"Oh, yeah, but mine's in the trunk. This is Marcus'. Thanks, though." Danielle said, sitting on the floor and leaning against the bed.
Marcus smiled gently, silently apologizing for startling him. He started messing with the rim of his shirt, nervously. "Mind if I ask what it's about?"
"Mm." Annika said, fidgiting with her hair. "So-what do you like to do, Danielle? And what do you like people to call you? Danielle, Dani, Dana?"
Otis shrugged. "It-it's kinda complicated…" he said with an awkward smile, looking at his writing, which he thought that the story was horrible.
