Lake suddenly looked at Slyvastor when they had finally hauled Kris into the backseat. “Wait, you can drive?” Then she smacked herself, “You know what? Never mind. Doesn’t really matter right now.” She hopped in next to Kris.
Slyvastor sat down in the front seat, breathing rather heavily. “Yes, I can drive.” He stuck his key into the ignition and started the car, barely buckling himself in before driving off.

As Sylvastor roared down the road, Lake pulled Kris up into a sitting position. Buckling him in before doing herself. Once she made sure he secure and comfy, she kept a hand on Kris' chest to keep him from toppling over at stoplights. Then she mulled over things in her mind. She looked up at Sylvastor in his rearview mirror. "Sylvastor..? Do you think I did ok..?" Tears started to fill her eyes and she tried to blink them away.
