(He’s not in shackles)
Drew waved his head when he heard footsteps advancing and an unfamiliar voice. He squeaked and struggled a little when he felt something against his neck. Instead of looking at her, he looked at a point above her head.
“I-I’m I’m the King’s son!”
(Oh! Frick. I'll edit my post.)
Shadow grinned an evil grin. "Ooohhh. Looks like I've hit the jack pot." She said laughing. "The kings son. Now you will fetch a nice price." She said. "Jake will love this. I was going to go find the general but this was so much better."
Drew wiggled on the hard ground, really wishing he could see.
“Er, who are you?”
"Names don't matter at the moment." Shadow said picking Drew up and slinging him over her shoulder. Shadow raced up the stairs. The deck was in a blood bath. "Nice one gang!" Shadow shouted. "Now retreat!" The crew screamed a victory cry and started heading back to The Zodiac Shadow jumped back onto The Zodiac and grabbed all the planks. "Release the hooks!" Jake yelled. Shadow walked over to the side of the ship and set Drew down. "Stay here for a moment unless you want to be killed." she said as she ran off to help with the hooks.
Drew squeaked when he was lifted and run off with. He felt himself get set down in the middle of bustling movements and loud voices. In order to keep still, he sat.
Shadow ran over and hopped back onto the other ship. She ran pulling the grappling hooks off the other ship. She afterwards hoped back onto The Zodiac. She walked back over to Drew and picked him up. "Hey Jake!" Shadow yelled as she walked over to him. "Guess what I found?" She said as she set Drew down.
Drew stumbled around when he was set down. He looked this way and that, feeling around himself to try and grab something to hold on to. The surface he was standing on made him feel very shaky and sick.
"And who is this?" Jake asked looking at Drew as he stumbled around. "The King's son. Or so he claims." She said kicking him over. "O really?" Jake said.
Drew squeaked softly and plopped to the ground, frowning. He really didn’t like where this was going.
“Er… I am the King’s son.”
Jake crouched down next to Drew. He looked at him for a moment. "Yep. That's him. I recognize his face from the papers when we were last docked." He said grinning. "You sure hit the jackpot. Good job!" He said. "We'll be able to get a good ransom off him!"
Drew took no notice that someone was crouching right in front of him. He just kept frowning deeply and looking around.
"Hello?" Jake said waving his hand in front of Drew's face. "Are ya blind?"
Drew felt air moving around his face and looked towards it. “Er… yes, sir, I am blind. I have been my whole life.”
"Oh." Jake said standing back up. Shadow chuckled at this. The only thing she could imagine was putting two eye patches on him. "Go a head and set up a room for him." Jake said. "You did good today Shadow." He said with a smirk. Shadow smiled. "Thanks Jake!" She said as she picked up Drew and lead him down some stairs to a new room.
Drew squeaked, despite being very tired of being handled like a teddy bear. “Why are you setting me up a room? You know I don’t wanna go back to my father, right? He kicked me out. He doesn’t want me.”
"Doesn't matter." Shadow said sitting Drew down on the bed in his room. "If your dad doesn't want you than I'm sure some other kingdom would like to have there hands on you for a bargaining chip." She giggled as she got two eye patches.
(*their)
Drew sighed and deflated in posture. “No Kingdom will want me. I’m useless. I don’t have eyes. I’m distracted all the time.”
(Ha!)
"Having no eyes doesn't mean you're worthless. There are plenty of people on this ship that have one eye or messed up eyes" Shadow said as she walked over to him. "Mind if I do something?"
(My goodness *you’re)
Drew turned to her when she approached. “What are you gonna do?” He shimmied back on the bed.
(Sorry!)
"I want to put two eye patches on you." She said. "Do you know what those are?"
Drew bit his lip and nervously shook his head. He shied away from her, as if expecting punishment.
Shadow chuckled at his reaction. "It's just something you put over your eye. A lot of the crew members on the ship have them. I guess there like a hat for your eye." She explained.
“A hat… for my eye? Why do I need two? What is the point of them? They seem very strange to put over an eye, let alone both.”
"Well you can't see so I wanted to do that. Because you never see a pirate with two eye patches." She said. It seemed kinda dumb now she explained it but the crew would get it.
“But… but I’m blind. There’s no point!” He looked up at her, but overshot it a little, so he was looking where the ceiling met the wall.
"Doesn't really matter. Even if you could see than there would also be no point. Therefore your point is invalid. But I won't put them on you if you don;t want. It's just a joke" She said shrugging.
Drew made a faint noise in his throat. “You can if you want. I don’t mind.”
Shadow looked at his worried expression. She put the eye patches back. "Maybe later. I can tell your uncomfortable."
(*you’re
Thank you for your user’s bit.)
Drew shook his head. “I don’t mind! I promise!”
(Crap and thanks. Rip Algernon.)
"Nah. It's fine. Maybe later." She said. "Want anything to eat?"
