Archer brought her hand up to his lips and gave it a quick kiss. “At least I would have been stuck with you if we had lost the car.”
Archer brought her hand up to his lips and gave it a quick kiss. “At least I would have been stuck with you if we had lost the car.”
"You're not wrong," Addie said, blushing. "But we also would've been stuck with a huge cab bill, so…"
“We also could have just walked,” Archer suggested with a shrug. “We weren’t that far away, were we?”
"Well, to get home would've been outrageous," Addie reasoned. "But yeah, we probably could have walked."
“All right. So, to the Statue of Liberty, then?” Arche said as they reached the car.
"To the Statue of Liberty!" Addie agreed, unlocking her car and getting into the front seat.
Archer sat beside her with a laugh and quickly buckled up.
“What if we go to lunch afterwards?”
"Ooh, that's a good idea," Addie said, nodding. "There's a good place by the water."
“Wherever we go, I call dibs on paying. I’m making this a date,” Archer declares with a grin.
Addie laughed. "Works for me." She turned onto the freeway, in the direction of NYC. "But we'll have to be patient… we have about an hour's drive ahead of us."
“Wow… All right, patient it is, then,” Archer chuckled.
“Wow… All right, patient it is, then,” Archer chuckled.
“Wow… All right, patient it is, then,” Archer chuckled.
“Wow… All right, patient it is, then,” Archer chuckled.
"Yeap," Addie sighed. "But hopefully it'll go by fast."
“I’m sure it will with you,” Archer said softly, looking over at her.
(Skip?)
//sure :D
“This thing is huge,” Archer muttered as he stared up at the statue.
"Right? You can't even see the chain she's standing on!" Addie exclaimed. "It's super cool, though, isn't it?"
“Very cool. Did you know that France donated it?” Archer asked, glancing over at Addie.
"Yep!" Addie nodded. "Though I've forgotten the details…"
//I lowkey forgot Archer was from France, lol
(Lol.)
“Honestly, I don’t really remember them, either,” Archer admitted with a chuckle.
Addie laughed. “Well, that makes me feel better. Do you want to go up to the top?”
“Yes, of course!” Archer said, grinning at her excitedly.
“It’s a long way up,” Addie grinned, already beginning to walk towards the entrance. “But I think you’ll be okay.”
“I basically walk everywhere at home. I’m sure I’ll be fine,” Archer chuckled.
“If you say so,” Addie shrugged, still smiling.
“Are there only stairs?” At her asked as he followed her. “And have you ever counted all of them?”
“There are only stairs,” Addie answered with a laugh. “And I googled it once, there are 354.”
“We should count them ourselves to make sure it’s correct,” Archer declared with a laugh.
