Basil glances over at the girl. “Name?” She asks drowsily.
takes a sip of her drink “Lorreth. You?”
"Basil." She turned the her ring around her finger, taking a sip of her drink. "Whatcha doing here?"
“Running away, and trying not to get arrested.” looks at her drink and grimaces
"I have some cousins out east that I'm running to. Also trying not to get arrested." Basil admitted, turning her hands over to show Lorreth. "I didn't get arrested, but my hands got cut up." She pokes them, and a drop of the purple, swirly substance leaked out.
Nykidia walked in. She looked around and promptly jumped up onto a table and then shadows wrapped up around her to lift her up to the rafter. She just sat up there looking down at everyone.
Calix noticed someone jump on a table seconds before. "If you are going to break, vandalise, or do anything. WAIT until people are not looking up. The first rule to anything is no witnesses." he said with his head down not looking up.
"I'm not planing to. I just wanted to be higher." She said from up there.
"ok, whatever. but i guess it is just advice for the future." he replies
"Thanks," she said. "For leting me up here. Not many bars do." She said swinging her legs back and forth.
"Yeah, I really don't care. I don't get paid enough to care." he responded with a nod as he went to refill his cup of water
"Thanks!"
"Yep."
Basil looked up at the girl on the rafters and scowled. Show-off.
"does anyone want some free water? I hear you need it to live or something." Calix said out of nowhere.
“I would like some free water! I never pass up anything free.” Lorreth looks at the person in the rafters, and contemplates joining her
He filled a cup with water and put it in front of her. "I am guessing you would like a cup and not multiple shot glasses of water."
Basil rolled her eyes, turning back to her drink and leaning back in her chair.
Nellie walks (or rather, dances) through the door. Her purple spiky sparkles in the light, and she seems to be holding a leather jacket. "Hey, my usual, please." She sits at a stool at the counter.
He nods to her and gets what her usual is. "Here." he says quietly to her as he sets it down.
"Thank you!" She sighs. "Anyone got a story? I'm bored!" She yells to the general public.
"Not really," Nykidia said swinging her legs. "Telling stories really isn't my thing."
"Yeah, me neither." Nellie replies. Her small frame seems dwarfed by the bartender. " Hey, can I get a refill? "
Lorreth raises her hand “I…might have a story. Let me think…” puts a hand to her head and concentrates
"Yeah" he replies and refills her cup.
Basil spoke up. “Once a bear literally as big as this tavern was scared of me. Wanna know how?”
"Sure," Nykidia said mildly interested.
“Well, I didn’t know this at the time, but apparently I was the only thing that could kill him. I was the last hier of the violet order.” She held up her hands, the purple thing flowing out of them.
"Are you bleeding?" Nykidia said looking at Basil's hands.
Nellie turned her head away. "If you're bleeding can you please take it outside?"
Basil shrugged and dropped her hands. "Yeah, I was. It's weird, though, because both my parents had no idea what the violet order even was, much less be a part of it…my aunt was in it, though. That's how I got it." She sighed. "The good old days when people didn't hunt me down because of my blood."
"I feel you." Nellie responded.
Basil nodded, sympathizing. "The only reason they do it is that they want to use me to make them stronger." She shook her head. "I don't want that."
