Brisha was working out in the hall, looking quite tired. He looks at meg and smiles. “Hello dear…heading home?”
Brisha was working out in the hall, looking quite tired. He looks at meg and smiles. “Hello dear…heading home?”
“I am.” Meg nods, smiling politely at Brisha. “Aaron’s doing much better now that his fever has broken. But I think he still needs to rest.” she assures.
Brisha smiles warmly, “Thank you, dear…you have no idea how much help you’ve been.”
“I’m glad to help at all.” she admits.
Brisha nods, “You go get some good rest. Thank you again…”
“Thank you, sir.” she smiles. “I'll see you tomorrow.”
Brisha nods, “Stay safe.” He smiles and walks away, sighing.
“I will.” she nods, smiling back. “You as well.” she calls out before heading towards the door and back home.
The next day, meets Meg at the entrance of the palace, smiling. “Hello dear.” He says softly.
“Hello.” Meg smiles back as she walks up. “How are things today?”
Brisha smiles, “Alright. Aaron is walking around now. He’s gained a good amount of strength back.” He hums and walks her inside.
“Oh, that's so good to hear.” she sighs, her smile brightening at the news. “And how are you?”
Brisha chuckles, “There’s no need to ask about me, dear. I’m fine.” He walks her to Aaron’s room, knocking.
Aaron slowly makes his way to the door, opening it. He smiles brightly. “Hey…”
Meg raises a brow at the dismissive way Brisha brushed aside her concerns but she had no plan to tell the older gentleman that Aaron told her about his wife. It wasn't really any of her business to meddle anyway.
“Hey.” she smiles back, glad to see Aaron back to a more normal state than yesterday. “It's good to see you again.”
Aaron smiles and nods, “I got some strength back. Luckily.” He laughs softly, opening the door for her. He looks to Brisha and smiles, “Thanks.”
Brisha smiles back and nods. “Of course.” He ruffles Aarons hair, making Aaron swat at him. Brisha smirks, chuckling and walking away.
Aaron rolls his eyes, then hums.
“I can see that.” she giggles, watching the warm interaction between Aaron and Brisha.
Aaron smiles, walking over to his bed and sitting down, grunting softly. “Well…how are you?”
“Happy to see you recovering.” she smiles back, sitting beside him. “Other than that, I’m the same as I was yesterday.”
He laughs softly, leaning into her. “Hm…”
Meg smiles and wraps an arm around his shoulders. “My mother was worried when I told her you had a fever yesterday.”
Aaron tilts his head, “Really?”
“Of course.” she nods. “She cares about you.”
Aaron smiles, “Aww…” he laughs softly. “That…made my day…besides getting to see you of course.”
Meg chuckles with him, smiling back. “I’m glad to hear that. And my mother will be too.”
Aaron nuzzles close, smiling softly.
Meg smiles at him and hugs him closer. “You mean a lot to both of us.” she murmurs.
Aaron smiles brightly, “I-I do?”
“Yes, Aaron.” she nods, feeling her face warming up at the confession. “You really do.”
Aaron blushes, then nuzzles close to Meg, smiling.
Meg giggles softly and kisses his forehead.
