(… Sorry. I’m a little bumfuzzled. I thought we were using the actual words from the prompt. Or is my character supposed to say “fuck off” because I thought my girl was going to say the essay…)
(If we’re changing anything that's fine. I’m just a little bumfuzzled.)
(Yeah i know i was wondering about that as well ..i don't know how to fit it in tbh, i figured maybe we could like do it next interaction like the next time they interact. Actually if you could have her make a comment that he could reach badly too maybe they could go from there and my character could say it. )
(Like oh it's the rich boy or something, like a nickname because he's rich and looks like he's always slacking when really mah boys a hard worker)
(I guess I could work with that. The main thing that was confusing me was, I thought the “tattoo” was of the first words your soulmate said… but if we need to change that, it's fine.)
(Ohhhhh yeah lol i can change it, i forgot it was the first words)
(It's ok. … Sorry for the delay and the confusion.)
(Your fine! I was out for a couple hours so that's why I didn't respond right away, i'll edit it)
He looked at the girl going to pick her stuff up and moved to pick some of her stuff up as well, getting up from the falling, he left her stuff in a pile on the floor for her muttering to her at a volume she could hear.
"frick off.." (i don't want to be cussing so hope you don't mind)
(I don't mind either way. So subbing is fine with me)
Hannah froze for a moment before looking up at the boy who she had bumped into. She could feel the undeniable fact as he nearly whispered those words… and narrowed her peepers at him, enraged. “OH! SO YOU’RE THE MOTHERFRICKER WHO GAVE ME THE WORST FRICKING SOULMARK EVER! WELL GUESS WHAT? I WILL NEVER LET THIS GO! THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN HAVING THE WORDS “Frick off!” PERMANENTLY MARKED ON YOUR SKIN!” she ranted, not caring how loud she was at the moment.
He blinked as he stared at her, she had just said all of those words right? Like every single one of them? He looked down at his wrist and sure enough there was the essay just spoken infront of him.
"Try having that whole essay on your arm."
She raised a brow at him before glancing at his wrist, a little surprised that her tirade was in fact on his skin. “Huh… How about that.” she murmured before looking back at him. “I still think I got it worse since I have an actual insult.”
"oh sure, i agree you totally have it worse. yours is much easier to hide then mine is. Yours is just two words mine is a whole paragraph i would have to wear long sleeves or a jacket to hide it, your can just put concealer on it or a stinking bracelet!" He huffed at her.
“Two of the worst words you can say to another person, let alone your soulmate.” she countered. “And I've been doing that almost every day since they showed up. Do you have any brain bubble what having these words have done to my relationship with my parents? They think something is right with me because who would have a soulmate that would say this to them?” she said, still a little angry but her peepers seemed to be getting a little misty.
"i can think of worse words to say, but i see your point." His gaze softened as soon as she started talking about how she had to cover it up, and then what her parents said, he could see her peepers starting to get slightly watery.
"im..I'm sorry, that you had to go through that.."
She sighed a little, closing her peepers and wiping away any tears that were threatening to escape. “It… No. I’m sorry too.” she said softly as she slowly calmed down. “It couldn't have been easy for you with all that on your arm either.” she apologized, though she honestly wasn't sure if she was ready to completely forgive him for those words yet.
"It wasnt, no. It seems our parents decided to take notes on each other's way of dealing with our soul mate marks, when my parents found out they wondered what kind of person i was to say that to my future wife, and immediately become ten times more strict then they already had been, which is saying a lot.
I've managed though,."
He put a hand to his neck, "Look, I'm sorry for what i said earlier, okay? I'm sorry for giving you that mark.."
Hannah felt her face heat up when he referred to her as “his future wife” before she looked up at him. “Yours blame you for what I marked you with? Or just for you saying “frick off”?” she wondered, remembering that she quoted her mark when she ranted. “I’m sorry about that too. … Do your parents say they do that for your own good too?” she asked thinking back to the numerous times her parents had used those words on her.
"They blame me for saying the things that lead to me getting the kind of mark i got, also they think that your destinated to be with your soulmate no matter what even if soulmates don't love each other, honestly it's best we pretend this interaction didn't happen, you don't want to know my parents. If they find out i met my soulmate they will flip and demand to meet you, it's not a fun process".
She nodded a little, understanding his answer. “Aren’t we though? I mean, if soulmates weren't destined to be together, then why would we have these marks?” she asked trying to reason her way out of his slightly confusing comment. “Yeah… council gathering my parents wouldn't go well for you either. It would be like the worst interrogation you could imagine.” she agreed with a rueful chuckle.
"Do you honestly want to be with the guy that said frick you?" He crossed his arms as he looked at her with an eyebrow raised almost completely serious.
“Well… No, I guess but other than that, we don't really know each other that well yet either.” she pointed out with a small shrug. “I don't think I even know your name. I know I've seen you around but… that's practically nothing.”
"You can have what my friends call me, and that's about it. They Call me Kazoo, or just Kaz." He shoved his hands in his pockets. "You aren't getting much else out of me, what are you gonna tell?"
“Well, my name is Hannah and I don't actually have a nickname.” she told him, though she certainly wasn't going to call him by his first nickname. Kaz at least sounded normal.
"Well then Hannah i guess it was noice to meet you." He held his hand out for a hand shake, a lazy grin on his face.
“noice to meet you too, Kaz.” she nodded with a small polite smile as she accepted the handshake.
"mhm." He nodded letting go of her hand, then he glanced around the school hallways. "Well, Hanna, what's your next class?"
She blinked for a moment at the question before remembering where they were, and that they were both going to really be late now. “Oh, shoot! Right. Uh, I have to get to English Lit.” she answered, as she checked to make sure she had all her papers as she stood up. “What about you?”
"English Lit? What you wanting to be a writer or something?" He tilted his head ever so slightly as she stretched, looking through out the halls. "Me? I was thinking about going to the roof."
She rolled her peepers with a slight chuckle. “Not professionally or anything. It was my parent's brain bubble.” she admitted with a little shrug. “They think that taking the more advanced classes mean that I’m more likely to get a great career and hopefully meet someone there…” Hannah blushed at the implications now that she met her soulmate. “Oh! You have a free period? Lucky.”
"Who said i had free period?" He chuckled a little bit putting his hands behind his head as he leaned back slightly, moving to walk backwards. "You wanna come? Of course if your not too goody two shoes."
