Toru leaned into the head rubbing as they retreated to clean the dishes, lifting his head up to make it seem like he was rubbing against Logan's ear.
"Who says I'm not~?" He teased right back, purring. "Once your friends leave, I'll help clean things up in here." The demon settled down on Logan's shoulder's again, purring and content.
Logan nodded silently and nudged Toru's head as a thank you.
"Alright, we probably should be getting home soon." Suni's ambled over and wrapped Logan in a tight hug. "You be careful and you," he pointed to Toru "remember to protect this one, he can get into trouble." He winked and patted Toru goodbye before meeting Antonio by the door. Both waved goodbye as they left for home, leaving Logan and Toru alone
Toru let out a purr as Suni patted his head, nuzzling against Logan once more before the door was closed behind the two men. Toru jumped down from Logan's shoulders then, turning back into his demon form.
"Well, you heard him, Logan~" The demon purred, pulling Logan into a gentle hug. "I'm to protect you, yeah? Just like I already promised." The demon gently bumped their noses together before turning to start his work on the dishes.
Logan turned a deep red but didn't pull out if Toru's embrace. He squeaked lightly when Toru bumped their noses together. "Y-yeah, protecting." He agreed, taking a deep breath to calm his skipping heartbeat Wich seemed to occur Everytime Toru even went near him. "I'll get your stuff for tonight after we finish here." He said over his shoulder at the Demon, passing him plates to dry
"Okay, then, thank you." Toru smirked some as they worked, thinking over Logan's reaction to the very simple affection he had been given. The demon hummed some as he dried the plates, occasionally letting his hand brush over Logan's as they worked together.
Logan nodded, not so much to Toru's reply but more to himself. At least he had a plan for tonight. He didn't have to wrry about demons, save for the one next to him, and he'd have time to think about everything in the comfort and looked eliness of his own room. He still wasn't quite sure what made being with Toru in his demon form so different than when he was in his car form but Everytime their hands brushed, Logan felt the need to apologies, that or try to find an excuse to leave so that Toru wouldn't see his continuingly reddening cheeks
Toru kept the looks hidden, but he couldn't help but smile every time he looked to Logan and saw how red his cheeks were. With the dishes almost done, Toru turned to Logan, standing behind him and wrapping his arms lightly around Logan in a hug.
"How are you doing?" The demon asked, his head resting lightly on Logan's shoulder as he murmured into the man's ear.
"honestly? Kinda flustered. It's way easier interacting with you when your not," he nodded to Toru and sighed "like this." He said, lightly resting his hand on Toru's hand around his waist. "I'm sorry, I know I keep going back and forth but it's easier to talk and interact with you as a cat, or when I'm not reminded your a demon from hell and could quite literally kill me if you get bored or something."
"Mm, I get that," Toru said, nodding some. "Unfortunately there isn't much I can do to hide my appearance any more than this, and it would be quite the pain to go around as a cat all the time." The demon let out a small sigh, holding Logan in the hug for a moment.
"We'll just have to figure something out, then, so you can be more comfortable."
"yeah I understand. And I'll try my best to," he waved a hand in the air with a laugh, trying his best to form his words without getting even more flustered "used to you I around." He straightened slightly and turned in Toru's hold, wrapping his arms around him, at first lightly but then a bit more securely. "You know for an immortal demon who makes contracts all the time, you're very considerate towards the people you deal with."
"Well, why wouldn't I be?" Toru asked in turn. "It doesn't pay to be mean, you know. I have no reason to treat you poorly." The demon smirked some, holding Logan close and chuckling softly. "What do you think, am I doing a good job of being nice?" He was genuinely curious, in the end.
"hm, I guess all that I've heard about demons and stuff, which granted came from shows, always depicted you as enjoying human suffering for one reason or another." He rested his head against Toru's chest "well, at least you're very convincing. Whether your actions have genuine meaning behind them is only known by you." Logan glanced up and studied Toru for a moment "yeah, I think you are. More than that actually. You did injure yourself ony account. That's not something just anyone would do for anyone."
"There are many who do enjoy that," Toru admitted. "They don't represent everyone, though." The demon let his head rest on top of Logan's, letting out a small breath.
"And I'm glad I am, then. I'm doing my best to be."
"I wish I knew if it was real." He said softly, suddenly remembering the wounds on Toru's back and loosening his hold. "How are they feeling?" He asked softly, gently nudging Toru around. "Come on, let's see what we can do about these scratches." He said, pulling Toru to the couch.
"They're feeling a lot better, since you helped me patch up," Toru admitted. He moved to sit on the couch anyway, though, pulling his shirt up so Logan could see the bandaging.
"What do you think?"
Logan nodded shyly and sat behind Toru, gently lifting the shirt and removing the bandages. He tilted his head curiously and gently touched the edge of the scarred wounds. "They're almost completely healed." He whispered in disbelief. He unwrapped the rest of the bandages and put them aside. Nearly all the scratches had healed into faint scars save for the deeper gashes that ran the length of Toru's back. He took a steadying breath, the memories of demons crawling towards him from the doorway and tearing into Toru all too recent. "Do they hurt?" He asked softly, tracing the fainter scars.
"Not much," Toru admitted. He'd been off, seeing as he had already say it would take three days for him to heal fully. Why had it happened so quickly?
The demon turned to Logan after a moment, gently taking his hand.
"Are you sure you're okay too?"
Logan didn't shy away at the touch, instead he scooted a bit closer, trying to get a better look at Toru's wounds. He sighed softly and shook his head, unable to meet the demon's gaze. "Honestly no. I'm not. I don't know if I'll ever be, knowing that demons exist." He flicked his gaze up to Toru's for a moment "I thought that the world already had it's demons in the form of bad people. Now knowing that there are actual demons that could potentially be worse than humans," Logan shook his head in disbelief "it makes it somehow scarier." His shoulders slumped and his grip on Toru's hands tightened slightly.
