Logan turned his head away as Toru pulled the remains of his shirt off. "I sorta figured that but it's still a pretty deep wound, even for you." He mumbled, looking up momentarily before averting his eyes again and hiding his reddening face. "Either way, you can't have the wound exposed." He took a deep breath and started wrapping Toru's midsection in the bandage wrap, making sure it was secure but not right enough to hurt the wounds
"I know that, Logan. Again, thank you for helping me." Toru looked down at Logan as the human helped wrap his wounds. He moved to secure the bandages once there was enough.
"Now, promise you won't try to leave my side again?" Toru moved to cup Logan's cheek, standing close to him again.
"I'm the one who should be thanking and apologiesing to you. You wouldn't have gotten hurt I didn't try to leave." He cut off the extra bandage and went to hand Toru the extra shirt.
He gulped slightly and looked up at the demon, slightly tilting his face away from his hand. "Only if you promise to end this little power dynamic you think we have, where I'm the rabbit willing to do anything you ask just because we have a contract. I don't do well with gorgeous men trying to restrain me." He narrowed his eyes up at Toru, a smirk playing at his lips
Toru tilted his head some as Logan spoke, a small smirk coming to his own lips.
"Well, first I'd like to thank you for thinking I'm gorgeous," he said, a small chuckle coming out before he grew serious. "And I'll do my best. Just don't forget what the contract is- your soul is mine, Logan, and mine to protect. I ask you to do things to keep you safe." The demon let his hand drop pulling the shirt on.
He nodded slowly "I know, I'll try my best to listen." He offered a small smile and cleaned their little are where he had been cleaning the wounds, throwing out the shredded shirt and putting away the bandage and scissors. He took a deep breath and glanced towards the door, flinching a bit before finding his phone and texting Suni and Antonio to not come over that day, giving some vague excuse.
"Thank you." Toru kept by Logan's side, helping him clean up the black blood drippings and taking care of things.
"We should rest, for the day," the demon offered once Logan had texted his friends. "There isn't much more we should attempt with the demons trying to get to you. We sure as hell shouldn't try to leave, and any door or cupboard could get turned into a portal."
"yeah probably ly not a good idea to go near any doors." He agreed, sitting on the couch with a tired sigh. "After all this imma just replace all my cabinets with those cube shelf things you find in every home store, I'd love to see what demon's are going to do with that" he huffed a laugh and turned on the TV
Toru laughed lightly, moving to sit with Logan on the couch.
"Yes, that sounds like a good idea," he agreed, humming softly. He folded his hands in his lap, resting his head on the back of the couch.
Logan glanced over at Toru, brows creasing in worry "I really am sorry Toru, I didn't know they'd come from the front entrance…or that they'd be willing to attack you." He looked away guiltily fidgeting with his hands. "Do you heal faster than humans?" He asked curiously, wanting to get his mind off the attack
"They're willing to do most anything to get to you. Any place they can fit through they'll come through, and they'll go through anyone to get to you. I'm lucky I was able to break the arm of the one, it's likely enough to keep the less bold at bay." Toru let out a small breath, looking over at Logan.
"And I do, yes. I'll be healed in a day or two with proper care."
"so your telling me I can't even shower for five minutes in peace?" Logan groaned softly, plopping his on the back of the couch. He glared around the house "I hope you're happy!" He called out to the hidden demons before rubbing his temple.
"Well at least that's good." He sighed softly, glad for the break
"You know those old horror movies where the killer tore the curtain open on the just so happens to be a beautiful woman and kills her? That, but with demons. It's just until the evening, after the time we made the contract yesterday." Toru gently patted Logan's hand, offering a smile.
"oh that sounds great." He replied sarcastically. He took a deep breath "I guess I can wait until later." Logan flicked his gaze down as Toru patted his hand. He slowly pulled his hand to him, looking at the mark. "Does this symbolize anything?" He asked "well besides being a mark for the contract. Are the roses your signature or something?"
"I'm not sure, actually. I didn't get to design that, if you'll believe me. It's just the mark that manifests when I make a Contract. I have no idea what it means. I'm just glad it looks cool." Toru laughed softly, moving his hand back to his lap.
"What do you think of it?'
"it's beautiful," he replied whistfully "but it's gonna be hard to explain this to my friends and family why I suddenly got a tattoo." He laughed softly and traced the whorls and delicate flowers. "You say the shows are innacurrate but so you're following some pretty close." He mused with another laugh.
"We'll come up with something, I'm sure," Toru said, musing some. He looked over the symbol as well, the flowers tucked so neatly into the skull's eye sockets, its jaw, lying beside it. What did it all mean?
"And I do not. My motives are much different," Toru argued. "But… what shows are you referring to?"
"uh huh," sure they are." Logan teased, turning on his TV and going to Netflix. He typed 'demon' into the search bar, immediately met with hundreds of options, ranging from anime to live action, to even supernatural documentaries. "Literally all of them." He replied, putting on a random show and curling up on the couch. "Might as well do some research while we're waiting for the demons to stop." He said with a shrug, bopping his head to the intro song
"'Research,' huh?" Toru chuckled some, moving to look to the television. He was sat by Logan's side on the couch, letting out a faint breath.
"Doesn't sound like a bad idea at all." He settled into his spot, glancing at Logan. "We have a long day ahead of us."
Logan nodded "yes research, unless you have a better way of going through demon lore in 24 hours. This show shoved it into 3 seasons. And with humor." He added with a cheeky smile, bouncing excitedly on the couch.
"I mean, seeing as you're sat next to a real demon who could tell you things," Toru teased. Still, he looked to the show, chuckling some.
"Don't be surprised if I point out things that a wrong." It would be fun, though.
"do t worry about it, I used talk and talk and talk for hours on end when me and Antonio went over to visit Suni during his first rounds of Kemo. It was actually really fun." He laughed softly and hugged a fluffy pillow to his chest, burying his face into it as he watched the screen. "I think Suni would like you actually, he likes the bad boy, morally grey, hearthrobs."
"Oh, really now?" Toru chuckled some, crossing his legs underneath himself. "It would have been interesting if he had been the one to summon me, then. Of course, I'm still quite content it was you." The demon offered a smile, chuckling some.
"Things have been quite exciting with you, more so than I am used to."
"it really would have, he'd probably think you're more of a Santa-esque character. Probably try and wish for unlimited chocolate or to travel to Iceland." He smiled fondly "he's always wanted to take Antonio to Iceland, said that he'd propose if he ever got the chance." He hummed softly before taking a deep breath and glancing over at Toru "exciting is definately a word for the day we've had. Can't say I've actually enjoyed much for it but I'm glad you came."
Toru laughed softly.
"Aw, that's so sweet, your friends sound nice." Toru glanced over at Logan in turn, offering a small smirk.
"I don't know, some parts have been fun. I enjoyed reading with you. And, I'm quite glad you're glad." The demon offered a genuine smile then, relaxing.
"he really is. He deserves the world ad then some." Logan said, blushing slightly "yeah, reading was fun. At least it was a distraction from," he waved a hand around "the demons trying to kill me." Heaughed lightly, "actually that gives me an idea, come on." He gently took Toru's hand and tugged him off the couch towards an extra deroom that acted as Ligan's small library
