Toru let himself be led, careful of his back. He smiled some, looking around.
"Want to read?" He asked, still holding Logan's hand. He hummed some, keeping close. He wasn't going to correct Logan, how the demons weren't trying to kill him. They were trying to steal him.
Logan nodded "mhm! Besides, I think I have the manga series the show we were watching us based off of. He scanned through the books, his fingertips gliding over the spines of the well loved books before pulling out three volumes and immediately jumping back just in case a demon awaited him
"Manga?" Toru tilted his head some. There was a demon, the eyes glowing, but it retreated when it saw the one next to Logan.
"What's that?" Toru looked down at the three volumes, curious.
Logan stared at the demon until it retreated back to God knows where it came from. He shook himself slightly and glanced up at Toru. "Oh my God you actually live in Hell if you don't have manga." He shook his head in pity and pulled the demon over to a large suspended egg chair that hung from the ceiling. He curled up in th3 plush blankets and pillows, patting the spot beside him.
"I mean. Yeah, I do. Literally." Toru chuckled some, moving to sit next to Logan on the chair. He looked down at the books, curious.
"I don't come to Earth often, remember? And I'm more focused on keeping my Contracts that are down there with me safe and to keep from blowing anything up."
"I guess letting something as bad as that happen just because you were reading isn't the best excuse." Logan reasoned, opening the book to the first page and beginig to read, using a different voice for each character. At times he'd pause and more thoroughly explains the characters and their intentions, trying his best not to spoil or go to far into his deep seeded love for the series, just in case he lost Toru in his geekiness
Toru nodded, looking down at the book as Logan began to read. He kept by the other's side, smiling some. He nodded along as the human explained, looking up to the other at the tangents.
"Oh, woah…" He seemed to be enjoying all of this, and how passionate Logan was.
At one point or another Logan found a white board and markers, completely abandoning the book for now and deciding to explain the entire plot if the book by himself, adding in his own there's and preferences while so explains the plot line.
3 hours of explaining and nerding out later
"Whoo!" Logan flopped back onto the cushions, mentally exhausted. "Now that we've cover the book, the show, and the spin off of both, what's innacurrate?" He asked Toru, handing him the white board. He glanced around the area, still cautious of the demons that could still be lurking around
"Well, first off, you know all that stuff about eating humans, or their souls, or whatever the hell that was? Yeah, no, that's disgusting." Toru laughed softly, relaxing on the cushions with Logan. That had been… quite the long explanation, to say the least.
Logan tilted his head, confused, "so if you don't make contracts to later have the human's soul, then what's the point with making contracts in the first place? Other than to protect them.and if you don't make contract with humans for their souls, dies that mean you can make contracts with other demons?" He gasped softly and held up a blush of a dog that rested beside him. "Can you make contracts with animals?"
"Woah, woah, slow down their Logan," Toru said, chuckling some. "We still get Contract's souls, but we don't eat them. The more souls you have, the more power you have. Yes, we can make Contracts with other demons, the less powerful one being the Contracted. And no, we can't do Contracts with animals." The demon chuckled softly again, lowering Logan's hands and the dog plush inside them.
"Oh…" He nodded slowly “so you’re really going to take my soul at one point.” He blinked a few times and took a deep breath. He hugged the stuffsd dog to his chest “well, thats good at least. Animals dont deserve that, theure all too amazing.” He laughed softly and glanxed over at the whiteboard. “Surprisingly everything else is pretty accurate. The shaoeshifting, bonding ti a contract, the otherwordly good looks that honestly isn’t fair to us gays.” He shook his head with a smirk.
"When you die, yes, I'm going to take your soul with me down to my home." He offered a small, assuring smile, though. It really wasn't all that bad.
"Hey, I quite like being absolutely irresistible," Toru argued, moving to look at Logan with his own smirk. "And if you'd like to see me shapeshift I'd be more than willing too."
"Sure, just as long as it's not anything scary or something." He laughed softly and rested his head against the stuffed animal's head. "Is like into more of a human form or animals? Or is it something completely different?" He asked, curling up in the comfortable chair, and swinging it slightly with his foot
"It could be both, actually. I haven't tried to turn into anything and have not been able to." Toru hummed some, turning more in the chair to be facing Logan. It brought him a bit closer, as well.
"oh. Well then I guess there's no better time to try this out now, right?" He giggled lightly and flicked his gaze up to meet Toru, who was now closer to him. He couldn't help but hold his gaze, entranced by how his seemingly colorless eyes reflected the colors around the room as well as Logan's own blue eyes. He managed to glanced away, a light blush on his cheeks. "Uhm, w-well, it's still gonna be cool to see what you can change into." He stammered slightly. "Hopefully you don't break the chair." He laughed softly
"Yes, hopefully!" Toru laughed softly as well, resting his head back in the chair, smiling. "Here, wait one moment." Toru closed his eyes, focusing. His body shifted some, skin seeming to slip over muscle and bone before Toru opened his eyes again. He'd turned to a grey cat, the only give away that it was him being that his eyes were the same.
Logan glanced away as Toru shifted, just in case it wasn't as a pretty a sight as he had imagined. He only glanced up when there wasn't any sound of Toru shifting around and laughed aloud. "Oh, I knew cats were demonic little creatures but I didn't expect you to take that so seriously." He chuckled lightly and offered Toru his hand. "I take back what I said before, you're not that scary." He teased lightly
Toru batted at Logan's hand with a paw at the teasing, rolling his eyes. He stood, stretching his back and wincing some at the wounds there before making his way closer to Logan. He patted the plush dog out of the way, taking it's spot on Logan's lap.
“Ho, and territorial as well? Even whith Mr Fuzzy? Wow Toru, giving cats a bad repitation, aren’t you?” Logan laughed and gently rested his head against St Toru's head, Making sure he was alright with his touch before nudging him behind the ears, making sure to avoid the wounds on Toru's back.
"I'm still iffy about all this." He took a deep breath "but I'm willing to make this work for Suni's sake."Logan bit his lip. He wouldnt admit now but he did like having someone else around, someone that seemed to care about his safety and, to some degree, his life, even if it was a demon. "You can stay, if you'd like…I mean after the demons have gone away…I can move a few things around for you in here if you want your own room."
Toru used a paw to lightly hit Logan's nose when he got close for the statement, but he did gently push his head back against Logan's. He even let out a small purr at the nudging behind his ears, settling down in Logan's lap with his tail twitching on occasion. He nodded some, as Logan continued, glad for the offer. He'd like to stay, if Logan would really let him. Earth was… interesting, after all.
He laughed at the gentle swatting before nudging back. "Temperamental being." He muttered, lightly booping Toru's nose. He watched at the demon cat nodded, blushing slightly "ok, uhm I guess I'll have to move a few things around in here then." He jumped slightly as a text came through on his phone, one from Suni.
"Hey we're coming over, tried calling a bit ago but you never answered. Be there I five."
Logan looked at the time before moving Toru so he settled on his shoulders as he stood and tidied the library a bit. "Do you mind staying a cat for a bit longer? I still don't know how well they'd take me having a new roommate all of a sudden." He said, putting the books away on the shelf, glad that the 24 hours had finally gone by
Toru blinked some as his nose was booped before rolling his eyes. He let himself be moved to Logan's shoulders, nodding some before finally speaking.
"And they'll take you having a new cat better?" He was glad the time was over too, relaxing more around Logan's shoulders. "Not to mention a freshly injured one at that." Toru's tail continued to flick on occasion, the cat looking quite content where he was.
Logan jumped a bit at Toru being able to talk in a cat form but he eventually recovered. "It'd be easier to explain finding an injured cat on a walk or something than just suddenly having a new roommate the day after we tried summoning a demon." He reasoned, curling Toru's tail around his finger. "It might be best not to talk either." He said, heading out to the living room to put things away just as there was a knock at the door
"Mm, I figured I'd keep quiet while they're here. And won't they think my eyes are strange? And that you have a cat that doesn't seem quite like a normal cat the day after you tried summoning a demon is suspicious as well?" Toru fell quiet at the knock at the door, resting his head by Logan's jaw.
