Ashlynn hummed softly, wrapping her arms around her body tightly as she fixed her hoodie. Almost if trying to hide the bruises littering her body. But she couldn't hide the ones running up her neck as she hurried down to street, to find solace

Maven was casually strolling down the sidewalk in the city he currently called home, wearing a t-shirt and some jeans that were fixed to accommodate his tail and wings. He didn't get cold easily, so he hardly ever needed a hoddie or jacket in the fall. He stopped when a girl slammed right into his chest, making a confused sound and looking down at her. "Oh, sorry about that. 'Guess I wasn't paying attention." He offered a hand to help Ashlynn up, a soft smile on his face revealing his semi-sharp teeth.

She shook her head, scrambling up on her own and tugging the hoodie around her arms and torso tighter. "Don't worry about it…I don't may much attention…" She forced a small smile. "Excuse me.." She moved to walk around him

Maven noted her tightening her grip on the hoodie, tilting his head some. "M'not trying to be nosey or anything, but do you have somewhere to go? You seem cold, and this fall weather ain't easy on most of us."

Ashlyyn glanced up at him with wide eyes, before she paused and shook her head, biting at her bottom lip. "I don't really have anywhere to go…I'm just trying to get away from home…"

Maven hesitated a moment. "Oh, well… Uh…" He cleared his throat some. "If you need somewhere to stay or whatever, I know we don't know each other but I wouldn't mind helping out."
(Why do I get the itching feeling this is going to turn into a romance?)
