Maven pulled out a bottle of root beer from the fridge, then closed it and opened it with one of his teeth, throwing the lid away and taking a drink of it. He sees her at the window, remembering she was half-mer. "If you'd like to go out to the pool, knock yourself out. I know you're intrigued by it."
She jumped at his voice, before glancing at him and smiling shyly. “Thank you, but I can’t…not an artificial pool, at least. Too many chemicals” she hummed and shrugged her shoulders, shifting her bag
"Ah… Well, I could drain it and refill it." Maven replied. "Anyhow, I'll show you the guest room." He then walked down a hall, motioning for her to follow.
“Thank you.” She nodded her head at his kindness and smiles softly, shifting and following him silently. “Uhm…” she pulled a wad of cash from her pockets. “It’s not much, but maybe it can count as rent?”
Maven stared down at the money, then pushed her hand away gently. “No need.” He says simply. “I won’t make you pay rent, I can tell you’ve been having a hard time already.”
She glanced up at him with wide eyes before nodding her head. “Thank…thank you, so much…” she whispered, bowing her head a bit and smiling, looking at the room
Maven then yawned a bit, as they got to the room and he opened the door. “Here it is. There’s some stuff in the closet, please don’t mess with it…” he said a bit tiredly.
She nodded her head, not daring to. He was ice enough to let her stay, she wasn’t going to mess anything up… “thank you…” she smiles softly, looking out the window. “It’s getting dark”
Maven nodded some. “I think I’m gonna go hit the hay. Let me know if you need anything.” He said before leaving the room, heading to his own.
She nodded her head silently, watching him go with a slight wave before sitting on the edge of the bed. She sighed, letting herself fall backwards to sleep
(Sure! Do you mind starting?)
(Nope, I don’t!)
Maven woke up early the next morning, getting dressed and stretching his wings, yawning some. He then came out of his room and went into the kitchen, looking through his cabinets.
Ashlynn was already awake but was too afraid to walk out until she heard him up. She paused, walking out a few moments after him and staying shyly near the door way. She was wearing the same clothes as yesterday, since she didn’t have any new clothes
