(That doesn't sound like a bad idea. Also, half-demon. XD)
Maven nodded some. "Alright, I get that. I live just down the block if you change your mind, though. I'm usually outside, so you should be able to tell." He then walked off, back in the direction he was originally going in.
(Right, sorry XD)
She nodded her head as a silent thank you before walking towards her destination. The local kids park. She hummed softly, rubbing her wrists
Maven scratched at his neck some as he walked home, adding to the marks already resting there. He went to his small house, heading inside and shutting the door behind him. He stretched his wings and arms some after turning a light on, going over to the couch and flopping down on it.
As she sat down on one of the park benches, she hummed softly and but at her bottom lip. She was mostly silent as she thought about what that strange man had said
Maven sighed as he thought about that poor girl. He felt bad, but he didn't blame her for not trusting him. He was extremely odd-looking, after all. Not many trusted him due to his half-demon nature. He kept digging into his neck with his nails as he thought, not even noticing a fresh wound opening on his skin. Just another to add to the collection of scars dancing about his entire body.
She paused, weighing her options before she stood, following her tracks and the instructions the other person had given her. She looked around, silent and lost
Maven eventually got sick of sitting around, stopping the scratching on his neck and getting up. He walks out of his house, flapping his wings once. Perhaps it would be a good idea to exercise them today.
She noticed him as he walked out of his house and walked closer. It wasn’t until she was on the sidewalk in front of his house that she noticed his wings. “Woah…”
Maven knelt down slightly then jumped up, flapping his wings some. However, when he got a certain height up he wobbled some, then fell back down to the ground, hissing in pain and sighing before getting back up.
She paused for a few moments before running over, small beside his tall satire. "Are…are you alright sir…?" She asked softly
“I’m fine.” Maven replies, looking over at her and seeing the girl from earlier. “Oh! Hey there. I wasn’t expecting you.” He dusts himself off.
She nodded her head and paused, clearing her throat. "Yeah…I thought about what you said…I've never really had anyone be nice to me"
Maven had a few scrapes from his fall, but they didn't seem to bother him. "Oh! Well, alright then. I honestly hadn't expected you to come back, but that's fine! Do you wanna come inside?"
"Uhm…" She took a small breath before nodding her head silently. "Sure, I'd like to…" She paused, holding out a hand. "I'm…Ashlynn, by the way…Ashlynn Grey"
Maven took her hand, shaking it. "Maven. Maven Samos." He replied with a gentle smile.
She smiles softly and nodded her head, shifting and putting a hand to her neck as her Gil's fluttered, swinging softly in the sunlight. She blushed and looked away, embarrassed
Maven didn't seem to notice, letting go of Ashlynn's hand and motioning for her to follow him. As he did it was very clear to see the fresh cuts he'd accidentally left on his neck, and the scars that littered the area as well.
She noticed the scars and oaised, but followed him anyways. She knew everyone had their own scars for a reason. "The scars on your neck…are those from anything?"
Maven looked over as he heard the question, a hand going to his neck. "Hm, these? Oh, they're nothing. Just a few minor scratches." He didn't feel like answering that question to a girl he'd just met, even if he was letting her stay with him.
She nodded her head in understanding, although she was a bit worried. She shifts, staying close to him as cars rushed by. She oaised. "So..what are you…?"
"I'm a teifling. Half demon, half-human." Maven explains, and they get to his house. "How about you?" He asks in turn.
She nodded, listening to him before humming in thought. "I'm half mermaid half human" she hummed softly, pausing to glance at his house
It wasn't anything extravagant, no more than two or three bedrooms at the most. It was perfectly sized for one or two people. Maven opened the front door to let Ashlynn inside, smiling softly at her.
"Thank you…" She bows her head quietly, looking around with a small smile and a hum. "I love the aesthetic"
Maven chuckled nervously, rubbing his head. "Thanks… Don't mind the mess, I don't get visitors fairly often."
She smiles and shakes her head, chuckling softy. "Don't worry! I don't mind" she hummed, looking around. "Woah! You have a pool?"
He shrugs some. “Yeah, but I never use it. It gets too cold around here anyway.”
Her eyes widen a bit but she said nothing, her mer side practically itching to get in the pool. “Thank you for taking me in”
Maven smiled at her again, heading to the kitchen. "No problem. You want something to eat, or drink?" He asks, looking back at her as he opened the fridge.
“No thank you” she hummed softly, looking around the house, but she was still drawn to the pool and walked to the window
