"N-No problem…" Starlingbloom lay back down, cowering a bit. She was clearly embarrassed at being startled so badly. She buried her face in Lavenderwhisker's fur with a soft whine.

Lavenderwhisker watched Stormpaw go to other nest, lay down and curl into a little ball. She sighed, and looked over at Starlingbloom who was burying her face into her soft fur. the medicine cat chuckled when she heard a soft whine coming from the black she. "Who put a thorn in Stormpaw's nest?" she whispered, a playful tone to her voice as she licked Starlingbloom from between her ears.

Don't mind me throwing my boy in here–))

~ Fawnstar stirred awake, his vision blurred for a few moment before his eyes focused out onto the clearing. He noticed the familiar pelts of his deputy, Smokewing, and one of the cats, Hailflight. He sat up in his warm moss nest. He sighed, as he began to groom himself, his mind wandered back to when he was deputy under Whitestar. It had only been two seasons after Whitestar's death, the former leader had died from his wounds after ShadowClan attacked. If he was being honest, he was kinda glad Whitestar had finally passed. Whitestar had been a horrible leader and he only cared about his strongest and more feared warriors like his son, Rainfrost and Scorchfeather, Rainfrost's mate and the best huntress and fighter through out the clan. Fawnstar shook his head, that was over now. He was leader and he was going to change the Clan for the better. He quickly finished grooming himself and padded out into the clearing, he blinked in surprise as his paws met cold, soft snow. Had the first snow of leaf-bare had started?? He purred, that meant the leaf-bare ball would start!!

~ Smokewing's eyes brightened as Fawnstar appeared. She got to her paws and trotted toward him. "Good morning, Fawnstar." She mewed with a smile. "Are you ready for tonight?"

Hickorykit turned his ears back and looked down at the ground, kneading the moss beneath him a bit. "I don't think he likes me… he always finds some excuse to go off and do something outside of camp when I try to spend time with him…" He said softly.

~ Hailflight glared over her shoulder at Larchclaw's sleeping form, then looked back at Hickorykit. "Well, Larchclaw is a mousebrained excuse for a father. If he doesn't want to spend time with you, that's his loss. He has no idea what he's missing." The red-and-white she-cat smiled at the kit, and snuggled closer. "It'll be okay."

~ Starlingbloom shrugged and huddled closer to Lavenderwhisker. "No clue… it wasn't me." She kept her face buried as she cuddled up with the medicine cat. "Scared me half to death, though…"

~ Hickorykit hung his head a bit and nodded, moving a bit closer to Hailflight. "I just… I don't know what I did wrong. Why doesn't he like me?" He asked weakly. "He won't even talk to me…"

~ Hailflight stared at Hickorykit, not knowing what to say. "Y-you didn't do anything, Kitten." She muttered. "You're amazing, and if Larchclaw doesn't want to be around you, then that's on him." She smiled at Hickorykit, her green eyes shining. "But I'm here for you, and don't you ever forget it, okay?"

Hickorykit nodded weakly and buried his face in Hailflight's chest, curling his tail tightly around himself. "If you say so, Hailflight…" He sighed, kneading the ground a bit. "Um… m-maybe you could be my mentor when I become an apprentice…" He suggested softly.

~ "I'd love that." Hailflight replied, purring. She nuzzled Hickorykit and closed her eyes.

"You might have to recommend yourself or something, I dunno…" Hickorykit sighed and huddled a bit closer. "I'm more than ready to get out of the nursery… it's so crowded in there."

~ Smokewing's eyes brightened as Fawnstar appeared. She got to her paws and trotted toward him. "Good morning, Fawnstar." She mewed with a smile. "Are you ready for tonight?"

~ Fawnstar smiled as he flicked his tail. "Good morning, Smokewing." he mewed, "I would like to say i'm ready, but im not really sure. I still have to think of the cat's I am going to take and we will have to bring some prey with us."

~ Starlingbloom shrugged and huddled closer to Lavenderwhisker. "No clue… it wasn't me." She kept her face buried as she cuddled up with the medicine cat. "Scared me half to death, though…"

~ Lavenderwhisker purred, "you're just a scaredy mouse. unlike me." she heard Starlingbloom gasp and mew an audible but slightly muffled, 'im not a scaredy mouse!" Lavenderwhisker giggled. "of course." looking back down at her paws she noticed the white rose still there. "I still can't believe you found a rose….a white one at that, and in the beginning of leaf-bare? you really are amazing…" she purred.

Starlingbloom huffed indignantly at Lavenderwhisker's teasing and looked away, curling her tail around herself. "Yeah, I know… you know me. 'Amazing.' I'd say I'm probably more lucky than anything."

"lucky?" she repeated, the white molly felt her ear tips burn, "if anything i'm lucky….for the longest time i thought you were out of my league…" she whispered, nudging Starlingbloom's ear with her nose. "you were smart and strong whereas I was small and quiet….you broke me out of my shell you know…..I can't help but thank you for that, I even wonder how you fell head over paws in love with me…." she purred shifting herself so she was on her back. her soft belly fur exposed.

"Mm… I felt the same way." Starlingbloom crawled onto Lavenderwhisker and lay on her, still purring softly. "I mean, how could I have scored myself a talented rose like you? I'm just a simple warrior. I hardly talk to anyone other than you. I'm lucky you noticed me in the first place considering how often I like to lurk in the shadows."

~ Lavenderwhisker rolled her eyes. "how could I not notice you? you were the only kit in your litter with a pretty short black pelt. Your mom looked surprised and your dad looked proud. you two shared the same pelt color." she sighed and touched noses with Starlingbloom. "Have I ever told you how pretty you are?" she asked, flicking her night black tail.

"Yeah, we had a whole litter of ginger kits and then I showed up. My mother was certainly surprised." Starlingbloom laughed softly, nuzzling against Lavenderwhisker a bit. She heated up a bit at the compliment and looked away shyly. "Yeah, you have… you're prettier, though~"

Meanwhile, Sagewhisker sat next to Stormpaw, who was already asleep. Sagewhisker shivered as she felt a cold breeze blow in. “Do I need to leave you two alone…?” She mewed.

~ "you could if you want…I don't mind if you want to stay." she lifted her head up and looked at her sister. It's freezing cold out there! you should stay in the den! y'know what! do you think WindClan you hand over some sheep's wool to line our nests? imagine how warm!" she giggled. She could hear Sagewhisker and Starlingbloom give a soft chuckle. Placing her head back down and gave Starlingbloom a loving glance. "now, where were we? oh right!" The white molly stuck her tongue out in a playful manner "now stop lying~……..you're the prettiest one here" she mewed flicking her ear. "I mean just look at you!" she purred. "you're gorgeous, funny and talented" she gave a kind smile. "I couldn't ask for any-cat else……"

Starlingbloom purred and rolled onto her back, sticking her tongue out a bit. "You can't even see me half the time, though. I am one with the shadows." She touched Lavenderwhisker's nose with one paw. "You're definitely prettier than I am."

~ "one with the shadow you say? hm, maybe I should request for Squirrelstar (that's RiverClan's leader I guess–) to change your name to Shadowbloom." she teased, sitting up the white molly yawned. "Alright. i'm awake now…"

Starlingbloom rolled her eyes and sat up as well. "I'm perfectly happy with my own name, thank you very much. Do you have any plans now that you're awake?" She asked softly, wrapping her tail around herself."

~ Lavenderwhisker looked over at Starlingbloom and shrugged, "I might go for a nice walk by the lake. maybe try and find some herbs before something serious happens, i don't know. maybe you can try and teach me to fish? not that good myself." she flicked her black tail. "did you have any idea for us to do together? I'm up for anything really."

"Fishing sounds good to me. I could do with some exercise anyway." Starlingbloom yawned and stretched, her tail swaying a bit behind her. "I know a really good spot, too."

"do you now? well I would now like to see this nice spot." she mewed, as she groomed her chest fur.

"Let's get going then." Starlingbloom padded out of the medicine den, purring softly as she did so. She started shivering once they were out in the snow due to her short fur.

“Have fun you two!” Sagewhisker called. As she watched them go, her eyes drifted to the sky. The blue, green and yellow hues were dulled somewhat by the clouds overcast.
A snowflake gracefully landed on her nose. Sagewhisker exhaled, and watched the snowflake dance away. We have time before the day officially starts, she thought, resting her head on her paws, sleep stealing her away.

Lavenderwhisker shivered at the cold, even though her pelt was bit longer than most, it was freezing! And the ever falling snow and chilling breeze didn't help either. "it's cold!" she squeaked walking closer to Starlingbloom, "my paws feel frozen!" she huffed.

"You'll get used to it. You'll have to since we'll be in the ice cold water for fishing." Starlingbloom laughed, trotting out of camp with Lavenderwhisker. "We can cuddle when we get back."
