Derlik was ignoring Nik, chatting with some other people that he had chosen as targets. Eventually a very, very drunk woman made her way up, stumbling into the bar next to Derlik. She put her arm down. While she didn't seem to see Nik, the way her arm was effectively trapped him.
Nik frowned a little, shifting. He wasn't quite sure what to do about this, so he just stayed still.
Derlik looked over at the woman, purring softly. She looked him up and down, laughing. He leaned forward a bit, taking her chin in his hand. It seemed they knew each other.
"My dear, it's been a while~" Derlik murmured. The woman hiccuped.
"Ish- ish you're fault! I… always looking forward to the parties…" They stopped trying to talk now, just starting to make out. The woman's arm moved quickly, knocking Nik into her sequined bag on accident.
Nik grimaced when they began making out, then yelped as he fell into the bag. He shifted. "Uhm…"
No one seemed to notice, the bag shuffled around in and closed. Derlik and the woman continued for a bit, then there woman was being pulled away, the bag going with her, but by who who knew. Maybe Derlik, maybe someone else.
Nik shifted around again, looking a little worried. He didn't like Derlik, but he also didn't want to end up being stolen away by some woman. "Hello?" He called.
Derlik looked around a bit when the woman left.
"Nik?" He pursed his lips a bit. He moved around a bit, finally finding the woman again. He opened her purse, reaching in.
Nik looked up when the purse opened, blinking.
Derlik felt around, fingers finally closing gently around Nik. He pulled the man out, sighing.
Nik looked up at him quietly, unsure what to do.
Derlik pulled away from the woman, returning to the bar.
"You okay?" He asked. He sat down, setting Nik on his knee.
Nik nodded a little. "Yeah." He replied simply.
Derlik rubbed his forehead a bit.
"How did you end up in the purse?" He finally asked.
"I don't know. I think it was an accident." he replied.
Derlik nodded, sighing.
"Alright then."
Nik shifted a little bit, sort of wishing he was bigger, but unsure if he could or should ask.
Derlik watched Nik a moment, humming softly as he ordered another drink.
"What are you thinking about?" he finally asked.
Nik shrugged. "Nothing." he replied simply, looking around quietly.
Things had mostly calmed down, as much as they could in a place like this. Derlik received his second drink.
"Are you sure? If there's anything you want from me, now would be the time to ask."
Nik frowned just a little bit, shrugging again. "I don't know."
"Alright, then. Don't say i didn't give you a chance." Derlik finished his drink off in a few gulps, picking Nik up off his knee and making his way out of the club.
Nik sighed faintly as he was picked up, squirming a little bit.
This time, Derlik changed how he was holding Nik when he felt the mortal squirm. He let Nik rest on his open palm, humming slightly as he walked.
Nik sat down on Derlik's palm so he wouldn't fall, looking around.
For a moment, they were simply walking down an alley. But then, the world shifted, twisting around them. It was like the world was turning upside down and sideways at the same time, twisting and turning and muddling together-
in the next moment, they were walking down another street, in another town, maybe in another country, heading towards another bar.
Nik inhaled sharply at the change, frowning a little bit.
Derlik glanced down at Nik.
"You good?" He asked.
(lmaoooo autocorrect is not wrong)
Nik shrugged. "Yeah. I just…wasn't expecting it."
(I repeat. Suck my crusty ass toes)
Derlik shrugged a bit.
"I'll warn you next time then."
(lmaoooo)
Part of Nik wondered suspiciously why Derlik was being so nice. What the price for it would be later. "Okay."
