Aurelie dreamed of pastel clouds and cotton candy, sweet dreams of a warm afternoon. Her cloak was still on her head, a few stray strawberry blonde curls peeking through. Her bun was a mess.

Cat’s drawing changed half way. She started drawing Aurelie holding the flower. She turned to the princess to make sure she was asleep. She saw some people look over at them so she gently pulled the hood more on her so it was slightly blocking her face.
Aurelie moved a bit, repositioning herself, but didn’t wake. She breathed in and out softly, even snoring a bit.
Cat chuckled quietly at her snoring but just kept sketching. Her own head resting on Aurelie’s.
Aurelie continued to snore contentedly. She was the picture of restfulness, beautiful in the serene expression that she lacked in waking. Perhaps this was what she would look like in a mere two days, though it was only one if one didn’t count that day.
Cat looked down at her. Studying her expression. She wished she’d always be this calm and peaceful but she knew that that wouldn’t happen with her around.
Aurelie smiled a bit in her sleep, peaceful as ever. She had moved even closer to Cat, her body against the other girl’s now:
Cat smiled softly feeling her feeling Aurelie close to her. She let herself be happy and pretend this will last for a few moments as she continued to draw.
Aurelie continued to dream, this time she and Cat were together. Cat cared about Aurelie in this dream and she apologized after she lied. In this dream, instead of forcing other girls on Cat they grew closer.
Cat tried to ring her mind back to her plan. Get some girl who hit it off with Aurelie to kiss her then run. Far far away. Her mind shifted and she started imagining if she kissed Aurelie and she woke up. What would even happen after that? Not that it would work anyway…
Aurelie stirred, then blinked, her eyes heavy with sleep in spite of her nap not being very long. It had been maybe half an hour at most. She didn’t seem to notice the position she was in as her eyes opened slowly.
Cat stiffened as she woke up closing her sketchbook so Aurelie wouldn’t see what she was drawing. “Have a good nap?” She asked. Her leg had fallen asleep at one point but she didn’t move not wanting to wake Aurelie up.
“Mmhmm,” she muttered sleepily. “It was nice.” She began to wake up more, instantly scooting over when she saw how close she was to Cat. She blushed, glancing away. “So, um, what have you been drawing?”
“Just the flowers,” she lied smoothly. Playing with the side of her sketchbook.
“Oh, that sounds lovely,” Aurelie responded, more awake now. “May I see them?” She smiled slightly, eagerly.
“Not right now we should get going. I didn’t get to finish any of them anyway,” she lied again standing up.
“Oh, okay?” Aurelie said, confused as she slowly got to her feet. Her face fell. Cat was always in a hurry to be rid of her, wasn’t she?
“Are you hungry?” She asked looking around.
“A little,” Aurelie admitted, running a hand through her in an attempt to fix her bun a bit. She only succeeded on making it more messy.
Cat tried not to smile and laugh slightly at how cute Aurelie is. Instead she just nodded and started walking towards a good stand hoping Aurelie would follow.
Aurelie followed her, glancing around as she went. It was practically impossible for her to go somewhere new without staring at everything in wonder.
Cat stood in line at the stand. It had sandwiches, hotdogs, and drinks. she turned to look at Aurelie.
“I just want a turkey sandwich and some water,” she said, glancing at the menu before looking back at Cat.
Cat nodded. "I'll get the same thing," she said the line was slightly long but they were getting closer to the stand.
“It’s a beautiful day today,” Aurelie mused, smiling softly. “Don’t you think so?”
