Aurelie went under for a moment, then popped out her head and sent several overlapping waves at Cat with a giggle.

Cat laughed getting some water in her mouth but just splashing Aurelie back.

Aurelie returned the favor, continuing to laugh and trying to breathe in between giggles. Her face was red.

Cat laughed but stopped splashing to catch her breath. Moving closer to Aurelie.

Aurelie paused for a moment as well, her face more red than her hair. She continued to laugh between breaths for another few moments before she calmed down a bit.

Cat smiled wider now swimming upright. kicking her feet slightly to keep her head above the water.

Aurelie smiled back at Cat, brushing her hair out of her eyes shyly.

Cat almost forgot about their change in their relationship as she swam closer to Aurelie and licked her lips.

Aurelie watched her, too preoccupied with her closeness to think about anything else. She moved closer to Cat, as if pulled by a magnet.

Cat slowly took Aurelie's hand. she definitely wasn't thinking again.

Aurelie blushed and leaned closer, their noses nearly touching. Aurelie was a complete mess, but right now her only thoughts were about how close Cat was.

Cat closed the space between them by connecting their lips. Her eyes closing as her mind was practically blank of everything except this kiss.

Aurelie tilted her head, still holding Cat’s hand. She moved her other hand to Cat’s cheek, relieved that she could stand in the water without her head being under in this depth.

Cat deepened the kiss. one of her hands on Aurelie's hip and the other on her shoulder.

Aurelie moved both of her hands to Cat’s cheeks, cradling her face. She kept on kissing Cat like it was the only thing she knew how to do.

Cat finally pulled away a few seconds later for air and to just look at Aurelie for a second. Not letting her let go but just checking to make sure everything’s real.

Aurelie smiled at Cat, her cheeks flushed and her bun completely undone, her hair falling in messy waves down her back. Then she went in for another kiss.

Cat kissed her back closing her eyes again. Her hand moving up to tuck some hair behind Aurelie's ear.

Aurelie felt her temperature rise slightly at that, dumb as it was. Was this a dream?

Cat deepened the kiss her hand moving to Aurelie's cheek.

Aurelie had her arms around Cat’s waist now. This was perfect. So perfect she forgot about her upcoming birthday for a moment.

For a second Cat decided to let herself pretend this could work. Maybe she was Aurelie's true love….

After another few moments, Aurelie pulled back. “I’m not dreaming, am I?” she whispered, vulnerable once again.

"I was going to ask the same thing," Cat said kissing her forehead. "No amore we aren't dreaming. This is all real."

Aurelie’s forehead tingled from where Cat had kissed her, and she leaned forward a bit so that their foreheads were touching. She moved her hands from Cat’s waist to around her neck.
