Vicky moved back a little more by another little hop, then she spread her wings out making herself look bigger and hissed at him. She looked more silly than threatening though. But when she spread her wings a mark could be seen on her lower chest. It looked like a mark that had been burned onto her.
He noticed the mark he didn’t know what it was “what’s that?” He tossed some bread close to the dragon “I know it’s not meat but it’s the best I’ve got” he didn’t want the dragon to run away he looked at the mark again he murmured to himself with a small amount of confusion “what is that”
Vicky looked at the bread and her eyes widened. She looked at the man and made a clicking sound. She seemed to be asking something. Then she stretched a paw out and tapped the bread. Instantly looking at the man again.
He looked at the dragon in confusion and sat down “it’s for you” he nudged a bit closer to the dragon
Vicky seemed in disbelief by the man giving her bread. Her eyes lit up she gave a tiny hop. Then she picked the bread up in her claw and started chewing on it. A purring sound rumbling from her chest. Then she started hopping around again sniffing at different flowers. All at once she stopped when the wind blow the seeds of s dandelion away. She sneezed and little purple tinted bubbles sprung up around her. Then she started hopping around again.
He spoke in a very confused and awed tone “whats that”
Sol was wondering what was taking so long he started to head over to Artemis was. He started to see the creature it seemed to be another dragon when sol got close enough he spoke to himself
“ where did this dragon come from”
Vicky spotted the other being near by and panicked. She flapped her wings and tried to take off only to fall hard to the ground again. She jumped up and ran to hide behind the man that had given her bread.
There was silence, the only hint of life was a light breeze that blew past. A dark silhouette stood on a ledge. Black hair shifting ever so slightly in the breeze. Hidden eyes and features could be felt beneath the mask the figure wore, gazing downwards towards the world below and around. The air was almost heavy, foreboding, but nothing was compared to the great beast that the stranger sat upon.
A dragon, but not just any dragon, a nightmarish beast. A great horn protruded from the skull-like face and muzzle, metallic scales shining in the sunlight. Where birds usually sang and insects made noise, there was not a sound in the presence of the terrifying beast and the figure. It was as if their very presence had caused such a stir, that neither man or beast dared to make a sound, fearful. A red and black aura seemed to shimmer around the frightening duo.
The beast's head slowly moved, dark sockets for eyes gazing steadily downwards to the world below the ledge. A low rumble seemed to come from it, the only noise that broke the silence. The figure that comfortably on the dragon's back also appeared to be observing the surroundings.
"Daan, our target, they are in this area?"
The creature shifted a bit, then soon a deep, dark voice responded in the male's mind ~Yes, most likely hiding in the woods somewhere, away from the village~.
There was silence a few moments, then the masked figure seemed to sigh, sitting up a bit more on the dragon's back, "Very well. We will head back to the wagon to restock a few supplies."
The large dragon seemed to nod, then suddenly jumped off the ledge, disappearing. Daan'Rein, was a giant to many humans and creatures, but was considered a bit small for most dragons. Despite the smaller size, he had his own advantages that the massive dragons did not.

The giant beast moved at a slow, deliberate pace. She was not the fastest of dragons, nor the most agile, however, her 'low to the ground' form suited her just fine. Built out on either side of the turtle-like beast, was what appeared to be platforms of wood. Poles were on each corner, several boxes and other things lined along the dragon's side where the platforms met her body.
Sitting right on top of the beast's head was a tall male. He seemed normal for the most part, except for the pair of white, cat-like ears atop his head and a long tail lashing back and forth behind him. His ears were swiveling back and forth, listening intently to the world around him. They were on their way to the village.
"Oi Gol, anything out of the ordinary?"
There was a low rumble, then a deep, but gentle voice suddenly sounded from beneath him, "The forest speaks of others, new and old. But there is nothing to worry about."
The male gave a nod, suddenly standing up and walking along the large dragon's back. He moved towards the back, where a young girl sat on several cushions that made a makeshift seat. Like the older male, she too had the same cat-like features. She lifted her head at the sound of approaching boots, having been looking in a book. Her ears perked forwards, smiling brightly to the male.
"Hello Gaelan, we almost there?"
Gaelan smiled back to the girl, lightly tousling her hair, "Yup, just about there kiddo."
Her tail was swaying back and forth as she looked up to the one before her, " Do you think I can get another book? I've almost finished this one, and I've already read most of the others 2 times now."
"We'll see, alright," he laughed, "Need to see wait to see what Volrux wants us to do."
The girl gave a nod, looking towards the trees that were slowly passing by as the giant dragon they sat upon continued to slowly plod her way through the forest.
Riverpaw purred happily as the sun hit her face and outstretched wings. Her sister had finally agreed to let her out of their nest again, and she was itching to stretch her legs and wings to more than the clearing at the bottom of their tree. Sky had flown off to gather some more fruit, so Riverpaw was left to wonder where she'd go first. She straightened up and flapped once, then jumped from the branch and glided down before heading upwards through the trees. Perfect chance to go to the lake.
“It’s fine he’s with me” he said with a light chuckle “are you okay”
Sol looked around Artemis “I’m a friend not an enemy”
Taurin awoke to a little sun shining into his eyes. He slowly sat up, took up his bedroll, and waited for Circe to get up. He moved up to the rugged mountain's edge and looked down over the large lake and hills and forest ahead. Behind him, Circe began to stir.
"I think we're nearly home," he said, "All this terrain looks familiar."
"There's no rush, anyhow, dear," Circe replied, "I will get us there eventually."
Vicky hissed. "You no smell like me," she was talking in a common dragon language that only Sol could understand.
Sol spoke back “I am different species”
"You not with circus?" Fear flashed in Vicky's eyes as she thought about it.
“What is the circus did they hurt you?” Sol asked
"Master's circus," Vicky shuttered. Something about this master seemed to terrify her. "He not nice." She pulled her wings up to show the mark again. "He made me his."
Sol spoke “ you don’t have to be his , you can come with us we protect you”
"I can never escape," she hissed, a darker shade of purple flashed in her eyes. "He always knows. He sees."
Sol felt pity for the dragon no creature deserved to be treated this way “ what do you mean by he sees”
"I no know," she shook her head. "He always knows somehow." She flapped her wings in little circles rustling the grass around them. "That reason I keep moving. He never catch up."
can I join?
(Sure, why not?)
“ we head with you , me and him” he indicated Artemis “ we know place where he can’t follow”
Vicky's eyes widened. "You not scared?" She hopped around Sol. "You come with?"
Riverpaw maneuvered through the trees with more ease than she'd expected after being cooped up in their little territory for about month. She slowed down once she could see water up ahead, and she landed on a tree branch. There was the lake, with no one around other than a few deer. She made her way through the trees and into the lake's clearing, then jumped down to the ground and headed over to the edge of the water, where she dipped down and took a drink. Once she was done, she settled on a stone by the lakefront, resting her head on her paws and watching the water.

(Yeah!)
The plodding beast finally came to rest at a stream's edge. The stream ran through the forest, ending at the village which to where they were heading. The heavily built dragonelle moved her legs close to her body, settling down on her stomach. Slowly, upon her back, a giant flower suddenly opened, taking in the sunlight that streamed downwards into the clearing they sat.
The young girl's, Liarra, ears perked forward, watching the dragonelle's flower with the big, curious eyes she had, always amazed by the beauty of it. She walked along the platforms, soon upon the beast's back. The girl lightly let her fingers run down the stem of Gol's flower, pausing as she heard a low chuckle, the floor shifting ever so slightly beneath her.
"You are always such a curious little thing young Liarra."
The girl looked towards where the head of the dragonelle laid, "Well, I've learned a lot from the books I've read, but they only tell so much."
A smile crossed Gol'Monah's muzzle, eyes a soft glow, "Aye, even at my age, there is still the occasional event or such that surprises me."
Liarra's ears perked up, tilting her head, "Oh right, you don't even remember your age."
A sudden, eerie silence descended. Gaelan lifted his head, ears perking up through the slits made in his hat. His tail swayed slowly one way, then the other. A smile crossed his features, already realizing why the usual 'forest noises' ceased.
"Huh, guess Daan'Rein is prowling around."
Gol lifted her large head, eyes locked to the forest, "Mm, they are coming back, and swiftly…"
A loud, heavy thud followed by rustling soon sounded. Then a sight which would've sent even the most sturdy hearted man running in the opposite direction had appeared. Once again, that frightening, skeletal head peered through the foliage. Daan was currently on all fours as he approached the other, even larger dragon. The beast sat down, letting his rider jump down, landing perfectly on the ground.
"So Volrux, what you need brother?"
Volrux locked hidden eyes upon his brother, silent for several moments, then finally broke the silence, "Greetings Gaelan. I'm running a bit low on a few oils for my blades. Particularly in need of…"
"Volrux!"
The small girl had jumped down from the giant, earth dragon's back, racing over to her elder brother, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist, giggling happily. The male seemingly stiffened ever so slightly, having not quite expected his little sister, but he soon leaned down, lightly hugging her with one arm.
"Hey sis, nice to see you in good spirits."
The girl backed away, her tail wagging back and forth, further showing her happiness, "Mhm! If things go well, and I behave, Gaelan said I might get another book!"
Volrux nodded, the only expression was from his voice, as the mask still covered his features, "Very good. I know you'll pick a good one."
