Helios drank from the cool stream his face hidden in the cloak and his swords laying beside a tree. In a clearing behind him lay a black dragon silently laying down.
He finished drinking the water before grabbing his swords them attacking the trees ferociously, imbedding his magic into his weapons and training to increase his power every minute.
"T'Jaal, Helios! calm down. Electra said taking a glance at Helios and holding him gently.
"Helios, took a deep breath before falling to the ground.
(I’m back)
“We are quite strong” sol spoke
Vicky hopped up and down and ran in circles, little purple bubbles floating up around her. "Where do we go now?"
“To mountain” sol debriefed Artemis in the plan
After sol finished talking Artemis spoke”ok I just have to packs some things then we can go”
Vicky suddenly stopped her little happiness dance and sat up. She cocked her head to the side as if she was listening to something. She used her wings to boost herself into the air and glide down out of sight suddenly. The sounds of her moving through the tall grass could be heard. Then she appeared again, balancing a rabbit on her nose. "I made friend."
Artemis chuckled and walked over to the camp and started packing everything up
The rabbit hopped off Vicky's nose and disappeared into the thicket. Vicky went back to hopping around and came to a small rope. She sniffed it and it pulled back. She jumped back and looked at it again. Then she sniffed the air. Her wings folded up by her sides and she ran away from the rope, hiding behind Artemis.
(Wait so can someone catch me up? I havent been on in a while,)
(We're kind of all over the place. @Rocky and I are together but I'm not sure where everyone else is right now.)
(Do they know their dragons or no?)
(I think they do but I'm not certain)
(Riverpaw doesn't know hers yet)
(Ok, cuz Xena is riverpaws, how should they meet?)
(Well her sister let her leave their tree for a bit so she's just hanging out by a lake rn. Maybe she wanders further into the forest and gets caught in a trap set by hunters, and Xena finds her and helps her out? I only say that because Riverpaw would bolt the second she saw a human so there'd have to be a good reason for her not to.)
(That works! Xena would be with her daughter picking berries and roots for their meals and see Riverpaw.)
Xena watched as Adrianne ran up ahead to find better berries. She smiled and walked behind her, hearing the sound of the river become louder. Soon after, the river came I to view and the two of them paused for a drink.
Riverpaw stretched and stood up, then looked over at the trees and headed back into the forest. Hungry.
She glided through the trees for a few minutes, until she finally found what she had been looking for - a harasnip tree. The fruits that they grew were her favorite, as with most of her kind, and she didn't hesitate to make her way to it. She paid no attention to the river beyond the trees, nor did she notice the silver lining of a rigged net, which she stepped right into, the tight rope scooping her up and holding her above the ground. OH NO. NOT GOOD. She squawked and flailed, trying to figure out how to free herself.
Xena heard a squawk and instinctively pulled Adrienne close to her "come here Adrienne, let me check out the noise." She murmured. Adrienne shook her head and tugged on her mother's shirt as she ran off. Xena chased after her and found her standing still. "Dont run like that! Wha-" she paused and looked where she was looking to see a flailing dragon just a few feet from where they stood.
Riverpaw tried to burn a bit of the rope, but it seemed to be fire proof. She couldn't cut or bite through it either. What do I do. What do I do. What do I do. What d-
She froze and stared at the two humans that had appeared, and she whimpered when she looked eyes with the bigger one. She must've set this. Unconsciously, she was still pulling at the rope with her claws, but she was certain she wasn't going to get out of this alive. Humans were bad.
Xena looked at the dragon a d cautiously pulled Adrianne back. "Ok kid, I'm going to help the dragon so I want you to either climb a tree or wait here, just dont come close to me." She said quietly. The child nodded and headed towards a low hanging branch to sit on. Xena cautiously walkd towards the dragons with her hands out. "Hey little one, I'm just going to cut the rope, dont be afraid." She spoke in a calm voice, steadily moving closer.
Riverpaw shook and whined, starting to struggle again. Don't. Don't. Please don't. She turned her head towards the human as well as she could with her restricted space, and she blew small green flames at her, hoping to scare her away.
Xena made a wisp of shadows appear and dance infront of the dragon as she disappeared from view and set to work on cutting her binds
Riverpaw froze again, watching the shadows. She had no idea what they were or where they came from, but they were pretty. She didn't see the human anymore, which that made her feel a little better. She looked up at where the little human was sitting on a low tree branch; if she was still there, where did the other one go?
Xena worked carefully and quietly, gently cutting the binds of the trap that held the dragon in place. A few minutes of working and the last cut made the trap vulnerable to the weight of the dragon. She moves a few feet away and watched as the dragon fell to the ground, the trap laying uselessly on top of it.
Riverpaw squeaked as she hit the ground, and she lay there, panting slightly as she regained her bearings. She lifted her head and glanced around in confusion, then saw the human standing a few feet from her. She didn't bother moving the net yet, but she did scoot away, putting her head back down and hiding herself with wings.
Adrianne climbed down a d crowled over to the dragon hello she signed
A startled sound came from Riverpaw when she peeked up at the human. D-…did she just hand sign at me? I didn't know humans could know that language.
She blinked at the little girl, looking between her and the older for a moment.
Adrianne looked at her mother with worry in her eyes. Xena nodded encouragingly and watched her daughter. Adrianne smiled I'm Adrianne, who are you? she signed.
Riverpaw tilted her head a bit, moving her wings from her face. The hand-language wasn't very common among dragons, and Riverpaw definitely didn't know much of it, but she could at least tell the girl her name…for whatever reason crossed her mind. Name is Riverpaw. Who you? She chirped along with her vague signing, in case this human could also understand dragon-tongue.
