Amber scrunched her nose up. “That’s disgusting… How about hot sauce? Ice cream with as much hot sauce as the winner chooses.”
Amber scrunched her nose up. “That’s disgusting… How about hot sauce? Ice cream with as much hot sauce as the winner chooses.”
“If you say so,” Jace winked. “All right then. Shall we begin?”
“Let’s,” Amber agreed, taking a handful of soapy bubbles that had already formed and throwing them at him.
The bubbles stuck to his shirt and Jace cringed before he took some bubbles and quickly wiping them off at Amber, a grin on his features.
“Hey!” Amber laughed, taking another handful of bubbles and spreading them over his chest before hurrying away.
Jace scooped up some bubbles, running after Amber with a grin on his face. Due to his long legs, he caught up to her quickly, grabbed her arm, and smeared bubbles on her hair before letting go. “Payback!”
“No fair! Stupid basketball player height,” Amber muttered under her breath. She took some of the bubbles from her hair and turned to smear them on his face. “Payback.”
Jace tried to dodge but failed, soap smearing his cheek. He immediately pulled Amber into a kiss, cupping one of her cheeks, pulling her closer.
“No fair,” she murmured against before giving into the kiss and kissing him back.
Jace grinned into the kiss, reaching out his soapy hand before smearing her cheek with it, making sure to wipe his hand on her neck, too, before darting away.
“You fell for it~“
Amber gasped and stared after him. “Jerk. Taking advantage of your girlfriend in such a way,” she said, shaking her head at him in lock disappointment. “Shame on you.”
Jace sniffled dramatically, pretending he was guilty. “I’m so sorry, Amber, but all’s fair in love and war!”
“Rude,” Amber huffed, playfully turning her nose up at him. “I cannot believe you, Jace. You should pay for your crime.”
Jace pouted, walking over to her. “Aw, but this is a competition, Amber. I don’t want to eat the ice cream with hot sauce!”
Amber shook her head and maneuvered around him to the sink. “Then at least with… this!” she exclaimed as she grabbed a handful of bubbles and tossed it toward him.
William had a good time after God knows how long. The hot-tempered man was finally able to spend a few moments alone with the girl who had his heart. He’d made her smile countless times. They were finally reverting back to the way they were before he had confessed and she had rejected him.
However, it didn’t matter how rare his happiness was. It seemed William was made to be angry every second of the day. Because the second he stepped through the door, he was hit with soap bubbles right in the face.
And his blood began to boil.
“Oh, crap…” Amber whispered as she watched the bubbles fly into William’s face.
“We… are so dead…” Jace whispered fearfully to Amber, shuffling close to her as William began to move.
”The one time I think things will not piss me off… I’m proven wrong.” William hissed out, wiping the bubbles using his arm, his eyes locking with the couple, pure, untamed anger dancing, swirling like flames. His teeth gritted, jaw tended. ”What the hell are you both doing?”
Amber was frozen in place, gaping at William from her spot beside Jace. “We were, uh… just… messing around…?”
William’s eyes flickered around the place. Soap bubbles everywhere—floor wet, kitchen counters wet. It further increased his annoyance.
”Messing around,” he snarled, clenching and unclenching his hands. “Should I show you what messing around feels like?”
“Hey, Amber?” Jace swallowed nervously. “I think it’s time to make a run for it.”
Amber nodded sharply, tightly grabbing his hand. “Yup,” she agreed as she tugged him around William and toward the door.
The second they were around William, Jace attempted to sprint off with Amber. Keyword: attempted. Because the second he moved to run off, William had grabbed them both by the back of their shirts, his grip tight.
”And where do you both think you’re going…?” he asked, danger rolling off of his words. ”The fun’s just begun.”
“We’ve got classes…” Amber explained quietly, chewing on her lip. The tone of his voice reminded her of when he’d pinned her against the wall, his hands tightly gripping her arms.
William let out a laugh, shaking his head as he pulled them away from the door.
“Does it look like I care?” He smiled, though it was more murderous than in amusement. “Classes weren’t on your mind when you were running around like immature brats, were they? Clean up the mess you’ve made.”
“Hey, we were just killing time,” Amber protested, trying to pull out of his grip.
