"I mean, that's true. Though I think even the small is a pretty big cup." Phoenix hummed, reading over the recite. "Don't forget tax, and then I think they might make it a little extra so they can pay the employees."
"I mean, that's true. Though I think even the small is a pretty big cup." Phoenix hummed, reading over the recite. "Don't forget tax, and then I think they might make it a little extra so they can pay the employees."
"Ahhh, that makes sense," Cicada admitted after thinking for a moment or so. She hummed a little and took the recite back, "I can commend them on that, but like I said, it better be good coffee."
Phoenix nodded a little, pulling up a small smile. "It is pretty good. There's been better before, but it's pretty satisfying." He hummed as he folded his arms and rested them on the table. "But honestly I don't care. I just need a little caffeine in me."
"I get that," Cicada responded watching him. She had a little smile on and leaned on her hand that held her head upright, "If you say it's good then I'll believe you."
"It should at least be better than what you've been putting in your body." Phoenix told her with a light smirk. He was of course, referring to the alcohol she had been splurging on. "I mean, I don't know what you drank, but I bet it wasn't great."
"A bunch of cheap beer, so no not great," Cicada let out a little laugh as she looked over at him, "And it as one day, so don't think I've been making it a habit."
"You've been planning on have a drinking fest with me, for what, a week?" Phoenix added in, smirking a little as he heard her name called for their coffee. "You may not have started it, but habits come unexpectedly."
Cicada stood up and went to the coffee. She grabbed the coffees and walked back to the table, "Yeah, but that's more me trying to get you to loosen up than me wanting to binge drink. So don't pin that on me."
"Alright, fine. But I can be loose without alcohol, you just have to figure out what I like." Phoenix insisted, taking his coffee with a small smile. "Though I won't be able to tell you right now. Give me twenty minutes, when my brain is working."
"I know you can be loose without alcohol," Cicada shrugged a little. She took a sip of her coffee and hummed a little, "But I'm trying to find your wild side remember?"
"Yeah, I remember." Phoenix said with a soft sigh. Before speaking again, he started to guzzle the hot coffee down. Once it was half-full, he set it back down and let out a satisfied sigh. "That was really good."
Cicada continued to drink and hummed a little again, "Yeah it is pretty good. Maybe worth the six bucks I paid. I think so at least."
"I dunno if it was worth that much exactly, but I was pretty thirsty." Phoenix smiled lightly, starting to sip from it again. "But anyways, do we wanna head back?"
"Yeah," Cicada said standing up again. She had a little half smirk on as she took another sip, "Mind spending a little more time with me?"
"After a few days of not, I'd love to." Phoenix hummed with his own smile. Holding his hand out, he started to stand as well.
Cicada took his hand sipping the coffee once more. She had a light smile on as she made her way out of the door, "I'm glad. Got a lot of homework to do?"
"I dunno… I haven't really been keeping track." Phoenix shrugged, lacing their fingers together. He didn't even need to think about it. It was just natural. "What about you?"
"I'm finishing up my lab makeup tonight, but otherwise not much," Cicada smiled up at him and squeezed his hand a little. She honestly didn't notice their fingers laced together.
Phoenix smiled a little, and nodded. "That's good. Shouldn't keep you up too late." He hummed a little as they made their way along. "Where are we headed?"
"Mmmm the library?" Cicada suggested with a little shrug. She was just walking if she was being honest, no real directions, "And I don't need a bedtime, I'm not a child."
"Mm, but the last time you didn't sleep, you had me worried. Can you at least pretend for me?" Phoenix asked her, with a slight pout. "And the library is fine."
"Fiiiiiine," Cicada let out a sigh letting her head lull a little bit, "Then I guess I shouldn't tell you about the allnighters I've been pulling lately. And by lately I mean since like Friday."
"Cicada…" Phoenix groaned, sighing weakly. "We were hanging out Friday, I thought you said you were gonna fall asleep once we got back." He scolded a bit, giving her a worried look.
"And I did, for like 3 hours," Cicada told him innocently. She wasn't able to look up at him, "And that was probably the most I've slept since then. Sorry."
"You're worrying me… first the ignoring me, and second the drinking. Now the not sleeping. Are you sure you're alright?" Phoenix asked her softly, not really caring if she looked at him or not.
