Unable to keep from laughing, he felt his smile grow on his face. "Aww, thanks. But I mean, I'm surprised it took you this long to notice. I'm gorgeous." Phoenix sassed, snapping his fingers a bit on the last syllable.

@ShadeStar

Cicada laughed with him and smiled over at him. She sat up a little straighter, "Well I'm surprised you finally noticed my beauty as well. It took you a week. A week to finally notice my beauty."

His laughing slowly faded, but his smile stayed up. "I mean, I did notice. I just hadn't said anything… I guess." Phoenix said softly, shrugging just a little bit. "I dunno, I'm not usually the one to speak my thoughts. I typically keep them to myself."

@ShadeStar

"I get that," Cicada relaxed and her smile turned soft as she looked over at him. She let out a little sigh, "I really get that. It's fine you didn't say anything until now."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"I still feel bad." Phoenix sighed, feeling the rest of his energy starting to slip away. He just wanted to lay his head down and fall asleep. "I should have said something sooner. Even if it's silly."

@ShadeStar

"No, really, you're fine," Cicada smiled watching him start to slack a little bit. Her face turned to a concerned look as she kept looking at him, "Hey, are you okay right now?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

With a half numb smile, he nodded a little. "Yeah, just got hit by a wave of tiredness. I'm slowly falling asleep, while we sit here." Phoenix joked, rubbing his face with his hand. "But for real, I'm just tired. Nothing to worry about."

@ShadeStar

Cicada smiled again as she gave a little nod. She let out a little laugh and joked a bit, "Okay I won't worry about it. Buuut, is talking to me really that boring?"

@ShadeStar

"I'm joking with you Phe," Cicada let out a little laugh as she looked over at him. She gently pushed his shoulder, "I know it's been a long day. We're college students remember?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Mm… yeah. We're suppose to be "adults" now." Phoenix mumbled with a sigh, putting airquotes when he said adults. He personally felt he was far from being an actual adult, so thinking he was only two years away from getting out of college…. that was unsettling. "So like, that doesn't help the case. We run on coffee, and possibly pure spite."

@ShadeStar

"Coffee and Redbull," Cicada corrected him a little as she let out another laugh. She hummed a little as she remembered how she could now legally drink, damn, "And maybe alcohol as well. But yeah, we're adults now and that sucks a little."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"I really hate that thought…" Phoenix mumbled once more, sucking in a deep breath. "But I think the Redbull is more of high-school thing. I was an idiot once, and mixed the two together. I didn't sleep later that night… I almost did it again."

@ShadeStar

"High school and desperate college students," Cicada commented to the Redbull bit. She let out a little laugh at his story, "Honestly, I'm surprised you tried that? Did you need to be awake for a test or something?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Well… kind of. I had a 500 words essay, that I had forgot about until nine-thirty at night, the night it was due. Thanks to the other essays, and everything else put on me, I had to research and write it all in three and a half hours." Phoenix laughed lightly, biting on his lower lip.

@ShadeStar

Cicada laughed again looking at him with a bright smile. She nodded a little, "Oh I get that. At least you got it done, and 500 words isn't that bad is it? Did you do well on it anyways?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"I think so… I think I got an A-. Not my best work, but pretty darn good for three hours." Phoenix laughed, starting to stand up from his seat. "You wanna go grab coffee? All this talk about it, is giving me a craving."

@ShadeStar

"Definitely," Cicada responded standing up from her seat. She was glad that they were back to being how they were before the whole, she avoided him thing, "I mean three hours isn't a whole lot of time, but if it was me I probably would have gotten a C or something on that."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Phoenix chuckled lightly, holding a hand out to her. "I think my teacher was more amused than anything. Remember, this was me high on caffeine. It was probably like me writing something at four am, when I was tired. With better grammar."

@ShadeStar

Cicada took his hand with a light smile. She moved closer to him, "Oh that makes sense. A funny essay always tends to score better than other essays, if your teachers have a good sense of humor. Anyway, where do you want to get coffee?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Uhhh," Phoenix glanced around, trying to let his brain catch up. "I dunno. There's a coffee shop we can walk to from here. If you'd want to, that is." He hummed, feeling the fluttery feeling come back as he held on to her hand.

@ShadeStar

"I would love that," Cicada felt her cheeks turn a dusty pink as she looked up at him. She hummed a little and started walking in the direction she thought the coffee shop might be in, "Is this the right way?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Ahh, you're so close." Phoenix hummed, adjusting her stance so they were facing a little off to the side. Gently pulling her along, he glanced back at her. "Just a little bit off, but you were practically there."

@ShadeStar

Cicada laughed and tried not to blush further at how gentle his touch was. She took a deep breath and made sure she was walking in pace with him, "Ah man. I was close and that's all that really matters right?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Exactly." Phoenix hummed, giving her a sweet smile. "Oh- um do you have your wallet on you?" He asked her softly. Just now he realized he hadn't brought his along. Which in long term, was quite stupid.
