Gray smirked, but he still whacked Cas over the head lightly with his hand, "If you're gonna pick a fight with someone maybe don't do it in such a public place? Otherwise you're gonna be spending more time in jail then you intend to." He chuckled lightly, unlocking his car.
Cas stuck his tongue out playfully and huffed. "What am I supposed to do, ask him out on a date just so I can deck him privately? Nah, he deserved it then and I stand by it." He got into the car and buckled himself into the passenger seat.
Gray snorted, "You know that's not what I meant. I'm not saying I don't doubt your judgment but at least try and be careful. I mean I know you're not gonna but I mean at least try not to get arrested again." He climbed into the car himself, buckling up before they headed off.
Cas rolled his eyes. "The police hardly care anymore. Like, they show up and they're just like 'aw it's just this fuckin' idiot again, let's bring him in and wait for the other guy to come grab him'. They know me know, Gray. I'm famous."
Gray laughed, shaking his head, "Being famous with the police is not a good thing. Can't you be famous in something else for once?" He looked over and raised a brow, turning back to the road as he pulled into a McDonald's.
"If people finally appreciate my talent." Cas huffed, looking up and gasping when he noticed they were at McDonald's. "I want nuggies!!" He insisted. "And coffee." Cas very much did not need coffee. He enjoyed it greatly, but he always got hyper and then complained about a headache shortly after the effects wore off.
"Promise you won't complain afterwards?" Gray gave him a pointed look, knowing fine well no matter what he would but it was worth a shot. Sometimes it felt like babysitting a three year old and if anything he always needed a nap after that hung out.
"Ughhh, fiiiiiine…" Cas huffed. "It's so fun to piss you off though, Gray. I need my nuggies, though. Nuggies are life." He watched out the window with a bored expression, waiting for something interesting to happen. "And I got arrested before I could buy food, so I'm starving."
"Geez fuck yes I'll get you you're fucking nuggets holy," Gray pulled into the drive through, mumbling something to himself before he ordered. Nuggets and coffee for Cas, and a cheeseburger and a coke for himself. He paid and drive round, picking up the food and handing Cas his food, "Here you fucking three year old."
"I am a legal adult, thank you very much." Cas huffed indignantly and started eating his chicken nuggets. Once he'd quickly finished those, he started drinking his coffee. It was black, just how he liked it. "Thanks for the nuggies…" He mumbled.
Gray smiled, eating his chips as he drove them to his apartment. A skill that had taken years to learn and maybe a couple car crashes along the way, "You're welcome." He replied, sipping at his drink.
Cas soon finished his coffee and seemed antsy. He was a rather small person, so that amount of caffeine was a lot for him and he was raring to go. "Are we home yet?" He asked, his voice quick and rushed.
Gray nodded, humming a ‘yes’ as he pulled into the parking lot of the apartment building. He knew it was a mad idea giving Cas the coffee but there was no going back now, “Yes we’re home.”
Cas grinned and jumped out of the car while it was still moving. At least he waited until they'd arrived. He bolted inside and waited impatiently for the elevator to come down to the ground floor so he could head up.
Grayson mumbled something under his breath, making sure the car was parked and locked before he headed towards the elevator. Luckily it arrived as soon as he walked up to the doors and he headed straight inside and pressed the button for the fourth floor.
"These things are too sloooow…" Cas whined, tapping his foot impatiently and sighing. "We have school tomorrow, right? I'm pretty sure I haven't done my homework, but I'm probably not gonna… you know how shit I am at math."
Gray rolled his eyes, standing on Cas’ foot to stop him from tapping it, “This is why I don’t give you coffee half the time. Yes, we have school tomorrow, and you’re going to do your homework whether you want to or not.”
"Can't sit still long enough to do homework. I'll… uh… m'gonna d-do it before class…" Cas stammered, getting more jittery when Gray stopped him from his tapping. He was trembling slightly and seemed very tense and alert.
Gray sighed, taking his foot off Cas’ as the elevator doors open, “We need something to let you get all your energy out,” He said, stuffing his hands into his pockets to grab his keys, “Otherwise you’re gonna wreck the place.”
"Yeah, probably…" Cas picked up Nix as soon as he stepped into the dorm and started pacing around the room restlessly. "My heart is going so fucking fast, man. Look at my hands." He held out one arm, showing Grayson how much he was trembling. "Is this what drugs feel like?"
Gray frowned a little taking Cas’ hands this way and that too look at the shaking, “This is why you don’t get coffee. We need to work out or something to get your energy out.” He said, taking off his shoes.
"Well, how are we supposed to work out? Run around outside? Pull ups? Lifting weights? Jump out the window?" Cas eyed the window with a contemplating look, still holding his softly-purring cat close to his chest.
"Don't even think about jumping out the window," Gray said sternly, leaning against a counter top, "There's circuit work we can do that doesn't require actually leaving the apartment. Which means you can't hurt yourself."
"Circuit work? What do you mean, circuit work? Am I gonna electrocute myself?" Cas continued pacing restlessly around the room. "I feel like I'm about to explode or some shit. Does the coffee have more caffeine than normal? Did they poison me? Am I rambling again?"
Gray crossed his arms over his chest, “Circuit work is just repeating a bunch of activities. So tuck crunches in three sets of twenty and so on. No, they didn’t poison you, yes, you’re rambling. Stop pacing it’s making me nervous.”
