"Good morning," Derlik said, yawning softly. "Did you sleep better?"
"Good morning," Derlik said, yawning softly. "Did you sleep better?"
He nodded faintly. "I…yeah."
"I'm glad…" Derlik hummed, offering a faint smile.
"How are you doing now?"
"Better." he said softly, shrugging a shoulder a little bit.
"That's good, then." Derlik was just happy to get an actual response to his question.
He nodded a little, pulling away a little bit. A faint blush had managed to creep onto his cheeks at waking up like this.
Derlik let Nik pull away, a sweet, tiny smile on his face as he spotted the blush.
Nik rolled onto his back, looking up at the sky and rubbing his face.
Derlik let his arms fall from around Nik, turning himself to look up.
Nik let out a faint breath, rubbing his eyes again.
Derlik was in a much better, nicer mood than Nik's first few days here- it was nice.
Nik wondered for a moment where Smoke was, but figured the kitten was fine.
Twili had brought Smoke back before dark, just like Derlik had asked, and was curled up and sleeping with him in the nearby woods.
Nik sat up, running his hands through his curly hair and taking a deep breath.
Derlik looked over, arms at his sides.
"Ready for some breakfast?"
He nodded a little. "Yeah, I guess so."
Derlik sat up, thinking.
"Good, then, I'll go make some."
He nodded again, leaning back on his hands.
Derlik stood, looking down at Nik a moment.
"I'll be back soon with some food." So, he left into the trees, pulling Arthur out of his pocket once he was out of sight.
Nik nodded again. "Okay."
Arthur shuddered as he was pulled from Derlik's pocket, whimpering faintly.
"What's wrong?" Derlik asked, sneering some. "You forget how loud you were being earlier? You're lucky Nik didn't spot you." The god flicked Arthur's head, too hard as he felt bone crack.
Arthur shrieked with pain, flinching and whimpering.
"Asshat," Derlik mumbled. He held Arthur in one hand, motioning for a minor god to come up.
"Go make some waffles or some shit," he said. He hadn't cooked a day in his life, and he didn't plan on it. He turned back to Arthur, holding the man up high in the air.
Arthur whined in fear, trembling and shaking.
"Week are you going to learn your place?" Derlik said, looking up at Arthur. "You don't make a sound without permission."
